Why not worry about people's lives, and the baby of the pregnant woman in the accident?!

2006-08-07 14:13:27 · 22 answers · asked by Anonymous in Politics & Government Immigration

I am talking about the person that posted it! They showed no sympathy towards the people in the car accident, even though the story states that they were seriously injured, and one of them was pregnant! The just said that they SUSPECTED them to be illegal, not that they were! Either way, it is awful!

I do feel sympathy for people in Mexico, expecially if they are seriously injured!

Oh darling.....you expect an "acceptable" answer to this question?

I didn't answer the question you highlighted.......simply because it was "oogi" for me. Things didn't add up and regardless of ALL that......these were people.....and when you say that HERE.....you get alot of replies that are truly sad and sick.

I adore you and your heart....please don't be upset if you get some sick replies.

AWWWWWW, did I get you upset? Gimme a freakin' break.

What they were doing was ILLEGAL. Do you know what that word means? There are 2 ways to do things - the right way and the wrong way. If they got injured trying to come here the right way, yes, I would have sympathy. But I have no sympathy when 22 ILLEGAL immigrants are sneaking into this country. Sorry.

As cold as it sounds, it is a very valid question.

I mean, if I were unemployed in Mexico, and was shot by a criminal in their country and taken to their hospital with NO medical insurance, do you think they would pay for my care??? Don't think so. . .

I DO care about the people, but they knew the risks they were taking when they began their "journey". And the woman that is pregnant? She should be slapped for putting her unborn child in such harms way! They know what they are doing, and they know what can happen. Why are you so upset about that?

In countless interviews, they ask illegal Mexican immigrants if they know they could be killed, and would they still take the chance. They all answer yes to both questions. So don't go getting all "soap boxy" on this one. $100 says they all knew what could happen to them, but were hoping it wouldn't.

I don't think it was cold hearted, the only question was who is paying for their medical bills, and its a legitimate one. Of course noone wants to see people killed in accidents or otherwise, especially pregnant women and children...
The point of the asker I think is that they were injured trying to outrun border police, which they should not have been trying to do in the first place-but that doesn't take away the tragedy of their deaths...

No..i do not feel that the question was in any way cold hearted...and as far as your additional remarks go..why is it that concern for these people seems to start only after they have crossed the border? Aren't you concerned that the mexican government isn't stopping these people from this?

Oh please...22 people in a suv and one of them is pregnant?..as if THAT isn't irresponsible enough. They saw a check area and tried to avoid it?..as if that wasn't a good indication.

No, it wasn't cold hearted at all. She has a right to her opinion just like you do.

It was through their own stupidity (22 in an SUV) and irresponsibility that it happened. Stupidity carries a high price.

Yes that was my first thought also. I also want to know how it really happened there are two conflicting stories about how the accident happened that I didn't catch the first time I read it.

Hotmomma did you cheer when Bambi's mother died?

Yes it was very cold hearted....

Regardless if they were illegal or not, what ever happened to humanity and compassion?.....

Trust me, if that individual had a loved one die in a horrible accident or worse, had a loved one become a paraplegic, due to a horrible accident, she would feel very different!

You're right the illegals were very very irresponsible again in this tragedy! If you take your children on a drug run I would definitely say you should be shot as a low life !

lol! if those people were dumb enough to try to cross the border, then they deserve it. I do admit that it is sad that the pregnant lady got hurt, but they were complete morons to try and cross our border then try and outrun our border patrol

besides, it pisses me off when i'm paying for illegal people. Ship em back to their own country and let their hospitals take care of them
