From www.fairus.org
FAIR estimates the current local annual costs of illegal immigration from just three program areas — educating the children in public primary and secondary schools, providing medical services in emergency rooms, and incarceration — amount to about $36 billion. If the population of foreign low wage workers is allowed to increase as a result of not effectively denying new illegal immigrants access American jobs, current illegal immigrants are allowed to stay and bring their relatives to join them, and additional low wage workers are allowed into the country in a new guest worker program the costs to local communities will increase. Our estimate is that the annual fiscal costs in 2010 would increase by nearly 70 percent to $61.5 billion for just these same three program areas. The amount would swell by an additional nearly 73 percent to $106.3 billion by 2020.

A compromise- some stay and some go.I am not talking immigration reform, unless you mean tightening the border and other measures to stop future migration. Just make a reasonable list of criteria .You fit the bill, fine you stay .Fall outside the criteria sorry. With a compromise between inalienable rights and United States constitutional law.

If so, how differently should they be treated?

Why do we only hear about amnesty for illegals? What about the people who have applied legally, and now wait patiently in line for their green cards? As you know, this can take a very long time, and I've heard of cases where husbands and wife have been split up literally for years before the bureaucracy has sorted their paperwork out ...

I am not pro amnesty for anyone, but IF there's going to be one, I say let's start with those who have submitted their paperwork legally, been screened and had their backgrounds checked ... anything else is a travesty ...

You are crazy if you think that this will not happen. We will get amnesty and be a big voting block. Then we will begin voting Mexicans in office. Wait and see. Who is going to stop us? If you could stop us, don't you think it would have happened by now?

I was surprised to see that when I visited England and went to the coach station first time and wondered why it was. I saw white people in the city and can't remember if I saw black people very often but I always did at such a place.

Why is it? I could not know in my short visit.

We are coming in by the hundreds every day and a conservative Republican government is letting us do it. You have no one on your side. Liberals and conservatives will keep the borders open.

ok, we have managed to sneek into this country by the millions

all that's left to do is move further north and take over the whole usa

once we increase our population above the white people, we will then use our next generation of kids, who will be lagal since born in the usa, to vote like crazy for the person who will suport us

from then on, only mexicans will be presidents and mexico will be part of the usa, in fact, the usa will be renamed "new mexico" and new mexico will be renamed "old new mexico"

now lets go! vamanos

What the he*ll do people not understand, the term illegal?

Illegal means illegal.. means you are NOT a citizen.. Means you do NOT have rights as a citizen because you are NOT a citizen!!

Notice how there is an, "il" before the "legal."

Comes out to look like this:
............illegal = illegal = against the law

............= NOT LEGAL (ie: Illegal)

............= against the law!! Now reread this 12 time each hour for the next 12 hours...

When you are deemed illegal.. IE: means that you are here illegally.. ie: NO DOCUMENTS!!

That means you are NOT a citizen! You cannot be an UNDOCUMENTED CITIZEN!!

Notice, you are trying to fight for amnesty! If you were ANY type of CITIZEN...You wouldn't have to fight for amnesty!

DUH!! WAKE UP!! What the he*ll else do you not understand about the term "illegal" and how it relates to you NOT being ANY type of citizen?

I want to pretend that I am an illegal alien so that I can get free health care, free education, food stamps and other benefits. I think that this is the way that I am going to modify my advocacy for amnesty. And you all can't do anything about it.

Me and my friend want to go to Colorado next year to work on a ranch. Just for the experience :). We are currently living in the UK. We are planning to stay on the ranch for one year, so I assume we'd need a nonimmigrant visa? And how does that greencard thingy work? Can anybody help? We'd really like to go! Where do we have to apply? Thanks for your answers!
