....You are right, but next time, take the 'caps lock' off...

They did in fact migrate from Asia.. Well, Siberia and other regions, around Mongolia, and ....maybe they were on a space mission from the planet, Vulcan.. and their nuclear ship ran out of...it's...nuclear capability and crashed into...what is now India???

Anyway, but many of them moved to escape the Cold. They crossed the Bearing Strait and moved south.

This happened sometime between 1200 and 1300.. So, this was not millions of years, just barely before Columbus discovered the, "New World."

I suppose they believe it's their's, simply because they believe they were here long before anyother came along.

The fact is it's not their's.. To complicate things even more, the Viking's should claim the land. However, do any real Viking tribes exist?

Nah.. Not that I know of. Perhaps the politicians should just be persuaded that the hispanic community are the 'old' viking tribes?

I can see it can't you? I bet you they are the viking tribe... Yup!! I can see 'em munch'n on burrito's on their way conquering the 'western world.'

Speaking their "1,000 wpm, angry-tone jabber-- annoying whomever's in their path...blah!!

I wouldn't be surprised if our "Liberals" believed it. And because Bush has his head up the neighbors ***, I could see the Admin jumping in the boat for the Hispanic vote... except for a select few.

Hahaha...I made a rhyme.. Some new lyrics for ya...

....... "Jump'n in da boat for the Hispanic vote!"

Go figure...

It's funny as hell that you answered your own question in the last line of your idiotic, contradictory dissertation.

I really don't see what this hateful question has to do with immigration, seems it should be in maybe the law and ethics category or Science. Unless of course you intended to bash Indians again. I think you're just an Indian hater, racist, and un American.

We don't THINK we have the right to be called Native American, we DO have the right. By your own admission, "if we are born here we are all native to this country".

As for all the other crap you spewed to bash us, it's just that, crap. Indian people don't accuse whites of stealing our land. Morons like you just don't get it! The fight was over freedom and a way of life. Indians do not believe and have never believed that the LAND belongs to anyone. Our way of life, our beliefs and practices, our freedom to roam this land at our will, this is what we fought for. And this is what most of America doesn't understand. It's NOT about the LAND! As for the "special" rights you speak of...giving us "Indians" ownership of land was the biggest insult ever given to my people and spit in the face of our spiritual beliefs. There's nothing special about that scottfamilytribe.

You're Indian haters.....why didn't you include African and Mexican in your question?

OK Wasicu, time for a lesson, first the migration theory is still just a theory as pointed out in a earlier question, asked answered and proved to be a theory. Native according to the Dictionary - Being a member of the ORIGINAL inhabitants of a particular place. Please tell me who were the first people on this continent if it wasn't the natives.

NATIVE IS THE TERM USED TO LABEL US BY PEOPLE WHO DO NOT CARE ENOUGH TO LEARN WHO WE ARE.

The truth is we identify ourselves by name, clan, and people but then you wouldn't know anything about that "Scott Family Tribe"

No one owes me anything, I have worked for everything I have, I have never received one red cent from anyone because I am an Indian.

Regardless of past crimes committed against my ancestors my allegiance is to this great country.

Keep insulting a nation of warriors and you will be at war, what an uneducated dumba$$, Watch your hair!

You are an IGNORANT Daiboo Quidipee Gubish. Prove to anyone that We are not Native to the North American continent. Science has also "proven" that bumblebees wings are not capable of flight, yet they fly. That theory of a land bridge accross the Bering Straight is only A THEORY. No solid scientific factual evidence. Hence the term, theory. Heres a factual piece of evidence for your kilted dirty sheep smelling butt, Check into a mummified "artifact" discovered in Washington state some years ago, He is known worldwide in scientific circles as Kennewick Man. Research him if you dare. As the SAVAGE one said Keep messing with a race of warriors and see what you get. In the meantime, remain ignorant of the true history of this country for your ignorance is a weapon we "Redskins" love to use against you fools. Stop by the Rez and thank a "indian" for having gracious ancestors, for if that were not the truth Your ancestors would have never survived in this Savage land. You are welcome. Wasicu

From what I have learned in history, the original people of the United States came here about 15,000 years ago (not 1500 yrs. ago). Even if they migrated from Asia, that was a very long time before Europeans arrived. Who else could be more native? There were no other people here. Who would have had laws on immigration to enforce at that time?

Do you read history books? Have you reached middle school yet? You need to read about it before you make such judgements.

Gee, I'd never thought of that...

But what's the alternative? What would you call all their tribes collectively?
"Indians" is a misnomer, as they are not from India.

Since they lived in America before every one else arrived, it's convenient to call them Native Americans.

As for special rights, I don't think living on a reservation is much of a special right... surely you don't envy them that?

Well if Columbus had got it right they would have been called Americans. But he did not. He set off to India. Reached a place and assumed it was India. I am from India. I am a true Indian, not the Native Americans who were mistakenly names as Indians.

As the human race allegedly originated in Africa, anyone anywhere other than that is also an immigrant.

But the native Americans to my mind have been treated like crap, as have most other aboriginal peoples in westernised countries.

Let's be honest here- we're so good at screwing people over...

WE ARE NOT INDIANS BECAUSE WE DO NOT LIVE IN INDIA. COLUMBUS THOUGHT HE WAS SOMEWHERE ELSE AND CALLED US INDIANS. HE WAS WRONG. SO< WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO CALL US? WHY DON"T YOU GET OVER IT AND TURN YOU CAPS LOCK OFF!!!!!!!! Thank you

And yes, we were the first people to be native to this country. And I don't ask for anything from anybody. I pay my taxes, and get screwed over for having an education, and not having children, just like every other young american who is doing what they are supposed to do. I bet you don't support yourself, put yourself trough college, live on your own. SOunds to me like another whiney rich kid who wants to know Where's mine? Go to a reservation, and tell me if you would like to trade places with any of them. Otherwise, use your small amount of education to spread hate somewhere else, kemosabe

Columbus didn't discover anything, except a way to enslave the DOCILE tribes in the West Indies. If you know your history, you will know that the warring tribes are the ones who persevered. The ones who laid down to the white man are the ones who died. We fought our wars, for our reasons. You fought you wars, for your reasons.

i heard one comedian say once that anyone born in america should techically be called a native american...instead of being called a native american...he wanted to be called a first american...(i most likely dated myself there)...i think that fits

but i can reconize most of the local tribes from around my local area by sight and speech. just the same as i can reconize irish or german desent..so i think it would be just as easy to call them by there tribe name rather then native american myself (if i didn;'t know there names)...then again i have never been very good at this politically correct stuff...so i am most likely wrong about that
