i believe that by sneaking across the border into america..these "hard working" illegals are doing their own country a disservice...to me..they are just taking the easy route out of laziness....yet they want to come here and demand things from a charitable people, and at the same time make plans and have dreams of annexing the southwest of our country...

my point is...wouldnt all this energy expended be better served by staying in their own country and working to make it better and more successful..??? what makes us think that if we gave you one square inch of our land that you wouldnt turn it into a welfare ghetto...?????

Will illegal immigrants run?
I asked a question yesterday.

"If the U.S. was invaded by ground troops from another country, do you think that illegal immigrants would fight for the U.S. or flee to another country? "
The majority said "Flee".

I see hundreds of recruits leaving a major airport every day, and my observations have been that the minorities that join the military are Blacks and Latinos with an occasional Asian. This makes me believe that the majority of Blacks, Mexicans (legal or illegal) and some Asians will help the U.S., and other minorities will run like hell.

What is your opinion?

Are we racists?

Hello All! On our continuing saga to disprove the lies of the liberal left, we have a rather interesting lie:

If you oppose illegal immigration, you are racist.

Unfortunately, some people would rather be called ANYTHING but a racist, and so, they are all-too quiet when they are called this horrific name. However, if you look at this from a logical level, this makes no sense, and is merely purported by the liberal left in an attempt to silence us.

If a person is racist against Mexicans, that means they hate ALL Mexicans (get it - race???). Now, we who oppose ILLEGAL immigration do not hate Mexicans who come here LEGALLY. No, what we hate are people OF ANY RACE who sneak into this country. I'm Italian. If an Italian snuck into this country, I'd hate them, too.

So, the next time someone calls you a racist, realize what they are doing. They are trying to cause you to be silent. However, we have the facts and truth on our side.

made me an outcast in the immigration forum. I have NEVER veered from my views and won't. I have used sarcasm and ugly attacks to support my views. I have attacked people personally and intellectually.....and probably (no.....won't) stop.

I know that many Mexican nationals willingly risk life and limb to enter the US for a chance to earn very low pay. What I don't know at this point is what aspects of the Mexican way of life became so broken that her citizens are now willing to risk dying in the desert or in a boiling hot truck trailer for a chance at back-breaking work at extremely low pay and a life as a fuguitive away from their homes and families. Could you please explain (with sources) what is so wrong in Mexico that people would rather violate US immigration laws - at great personal expense and risk - than try to make a life for themselves in their own country?

As if it's even possible, I would prefer to avoid reading a bunch of sub-literate, knee-jerk rhetoric and jingoist invective. Please cite legitimate news stories and other sources when you state your case.
