In another word, can Canadian corporation easily hire US citizens and get work visas for them? Or is it as difficult as in the US to hire non citizens/non residents?

the website is a good start, there is a section in there that discusses inter company transfers. So if you work for one company in the US and it has a parent company in Canada I believe they can do some type of transfer. There are skilled labour visas, open work visas etc... check with your local immigration office or Canadian Embassy and they will be able to help you
