Are we racists?
Hello All! On our continuing saga to disprove the lies of the liberal left, we have a rather interesting lie:
If you oppose illegal immigration, you are racist.
Unfortunately, some people would rather be called ANYTHING but a racist, and so, they are all-too quiet when they are called this horrific name. However, if you look at this from a logical level, this makes no sense, and is merely purported by the liberal left in an attempt to silence us.
If a person is racist against Mexicans, that means they hate ALL Mexicans (get it - race???). Now, we who oppose ILLEGAL immigration do not hate Mexicans who come here LEGALLY. No, what we hate are people OF ANY RACE who sneak into this country. I'm Italian. If an Italian snuck into this country, I'd hate them, too.
So, the next time someone calls you a racist, realize what they are doing. They are trying to cause you to be silent. However, we have the facts and truth on our side.
What's your opinion?

Ok, so I agree with you on one point. Not everyone who opposes illegal immigration is racist. However, there are many people who are racist and are taking advantage of people's fears and misinformation to exploit that fear and turn it into hate and intolerance. This country is made up of immigrants, immigrants that are just as legal as you are. Unfortunately, no one can tell who is "legal" or not. Can you? Of course you can't tell, but many will just hate them anyway and assume that they are illegal even if they are not and that's called RACISM. Just the fact that you singled out Mexicans proves that you are biased. Oh yeah, and we're supposed to believe you'd send your long lost Uncle, or some such from Italy, scurrying away. Why single out any race if you are truly not racist? Obviously, you have a lot of anger toward certain illegal minorities, and really, you have to be some kind of saint to not let that affect how you feel about them in general, legal or not. So, please don't pretend that you love everybody when you are going out of your way to promote fear and hatred of minorities through your ridiculous rants.

Okay, let me first start off by saying that I am very liberal and I am not accusing you of racism...
Now, let me first explain what institutionalized racism is. It does exist, you know, and even if Republicans are not blatantly racist (most of them aren't), you have to understand that our policies SEEM that way. I think many people overestimate how easy it is for people to get into the United States. It's because most of us were lucky as we were either born here, have American parents, or came from a country that is not as restricted as Mexico.
Is that too much to ask for people to have a little more compassion? I'm from the SF Bay Area, and there are a lot of illegal immigrants around here, and you know what? I feel really sorry for a lot of them. Most of them don't have good lives...they pay taxes because they have fake SS cards, but they cannot receive most government benefits...and a lot of them are extremely impoverished. Yet, doesn't it say a lot about them if they're willing to live under those conditions to give their children better lives? Have you ever thought that maybe they are willing to suffer those extreme circumstances, because they believe it'll be better for them in the long run?
If you cannot agree with that, then listen to this. Maybe the United States should stop luring illegal immigrants into the country. The United States claims it's the land of the free, and that everyone can come here and have a better life. Maybe if we stopped shouting that message so loudly, illegal immigrants would be less tempted to come here. After all, it is kind of a lie isn't it?
I would also like to point out that statements sudch as Cindy L's are what cause liberals to believe all conservatives are racist. Sure, the generalization may not be fair but in my opinion Cindy L has some pretty false notions about the Islam religion. I suggest to her and people like her that they take a little bit of time to see that it is only a few extremists that resort to terrorism. It has nothing to do with the religion; it has everything to do with terrorists' racism. Please don't accuse all Muslims of being terrorists.

I do not like illegal immigration. My mother and father moved here and busted their a#$ to become legal. And they got it. And now they bust their a#$ even more to pay taxes, and put food on the table. And they barely even get that.
We Americans work our butts off to pay our taxes, put our children through school, put food on our tables, and now put gas in our tanks. We pay for the illegals. In one way or another, we pay. They come here and get preagnate and all of a sudden they are "legal"? That is bull crap. And then the kids get "free education? That is even bigger bull crap.
I say if an illegal is caught, send their a#$ back. or electrify a fence around our border. We have enough problems here without the illegals. I have no problem with the Mexicans, or any other group of people. Just the illegals.
I am sorry if this offends anyone. This is just my thoughts and my point of view.

It appears we are all racists, as evident by how we treat and speak against each other. Don't you understand that our government has full knowledge of who enters the USA, and will continue to allow this MIGRATION of people for cheap labor profits? If the government allows anyone to obtain social services/relief, why should you bother? Do you remember in school - we were taught that the USA is the land of the free; That our doors are open to those who wish to enter? Well, how can we exist together or usher in peace when we incite & continually intimidate other ethnic groups? We are all humans - we all bleed red blood. CAN'T WE ALL JUST LEARN TO LIVE TOGETHER? If not, I suggest you stop using Q&A and run for office and make a change.
Our focus should be placed on bring our troops home. These same troops are fighting the cause of freedom, not on who should or should not reside in the USA.

ur obviously not getting the bigger picture. do u believe everything teh media tell u also. yes there r racists, & no not all anit-illeal ppl r racists. some ppl r against all Mexicans & have attacked them by using ignorant generalizations & stereotypes disregarding their legal status or citizenship. this whole issue is dividing the US & i think its disgusting. i'm against illegal immigration, by i'm also against any enforcement only laws that would deport all or criminalize these ppl (HR 4437). the gvmt. is to blame along w/employers, this should have been a major issue 15 yrs ago not now & we wouldn't have this problem today. but this will get our minds off the war & gas for about 2yrs or until election time right? by the way, why is it that all illegals r mexican? r u generalizing mi amigo? think about it. amnesty will happen one way or another, sorry.

Everyones a racist about something... not just about the color or nationality of a person, but about something. And unfortunately there will always be racism, not to be negative, but yes always. It's been a part of time for thousands of years and it will be around long after we are dead and gone. Just look at your animal kingdom if you don't believe me. Certain social orders just do not get along. It's the way of the world.
Now.. is there a different way racism can be handled? Yes there is. The way the Backwoods Klan handles it... ain't it, or the way Farrakhan and the Black Panthers handle it... ain't it. Will we ever know how to handle it, probably not... but it will always be there, lurking deep with in our souls every time we see a fat white redneck with a rebel flag on his truck, every time we see a Mexican woman in the welfare line with all 6 kids, or even when we see a black guy on his porch with a 40oz. on a Tuesday morning. We will all have those racist thoughts.
All I can say is make fun of them and make fun of yourself and laugh about the whole damn thing ...cuz it ain't ever gonna change!!!!!!!!!

At the risk of sounding like a total idiot, I will now quote the Tony Award winning Broadway Musical, Avenue Q. "Everyone's a Little bit Racist." I think the sooner people can come to terms with that, the sooner we can all get on with our lives.

That is all they have...have you ever seen anyone who is pro-illegal post a link? They have no facts on their side. They think they are some kind of righteous humanitarians by volunteering to give my country away. One poster here recently said that any organization that specifically targets humans is racist. Ya just got to shake your head and wonder how they made it this far in life.

I am what you liberal haters would call a liberal because I do not vote Republican HOWEVER, this w.e.tback issue is NOT about race. It is about the porosity of our borders even AFTER 911 and that STOOPUD idiot Bush Administration feeding us lip service about border security.
Anyone that labels us racist because of our concerns about our own sovereignity is a little uneducated on the real issues.
PS
The liberal label? A Republican vocabulary plant during the Clinton years.

I think you are drifting a little. As I have noticed, both sides of the spectrum are against illegal immigration.
Not everyone that disagrees with you is a liberal. Some people just have common sense.
