I understand that corporate profits are great and CEO's are doing great. But corporate earnings are starting to decelerate
and the dollar is tanking. Yet the economy is the best we have had in our history tanks to the Bushmans tax cuts. Maybe it was people taking money out of their houses afterall.

Should there be a constitutional amendment giving the president the power of line-item veto but, it must be approved by the House by a majority and if it is not approved the bill fails unless the president signs it into law.

Some people think that this would prevent "pork barrel spending".

Also 43 states allow their governor to have this power.

Many of the accused "terrorists" are doctors and educated people. They think logically. So what is the logic of their grand plan?

I think the focus is Muslim on Muslim. Those speaking of a pure Islam see moderate and secular Muslims as being influenced by the West. The radical Muslims believes that pure Islam is incompatible with Western values. These Muslims see their own governments as being polluted with Western values. They would like to make their own countries into pure Islamic states but they cannot because they are only a tiny minority in a vast sea of moderate Muslims. So these radicals then attack the Western powers and symbols of their oppressors. When the west strikes back then the radicals call upon all Muslims to join the struggle. They accuse the West of having a war against Islam. The harder the West strikes back then the more righteous the radicals appear. Their hope is to stir all Muslims against those who attack them. This is how they plan to win.

I am gobsmacked that there are questions on here about this. Some people have even refered to "payback" for help we have sent to countries such as Bangladesh. What planet are they on?

What I was wondering about anarchy and crushing "the man" and all that is, why would anyone smart enough to assess political choices and determine that the solution to end political problems is a reveloution that would endanger millions of peoples lives? While I admit Bush is not doing a great job either, communism and socialism don't work, just look at China.

Is the problem stupid people and hyper-extreme liberals ( note that liberal isn't a bad thing in moderation- just look it up.) who are too stupid to recognize one bad alternative (communism.) from the slightly imperfect capitalism? Or can you think of a better and plausible solution to these problems besides anarchy. Preferably stopping the patriot act?

Actually, what are these problems about capitalism? Is the unequal distribution of wealth better than the equal distribution of poverty? And how would the threat of constantly getting shot or blown up better than having a bad president?

Why should we allow them to record our every action, but we the people, the supposed power in the country, cannot videotape them without a permit?

Why is the government slowly eroding our freedom? If they continue to convert rights into priveliges, eventually we will be left with NO rights.

And by Private jet I mean a small airliner that can hold 20 plus people and there was only 3 people and the Pilot on the plane. Am I the only one that sees his hipocracy?
