Government - September 2006

If the government would spend a quarter of the money that is spent on the military.. and spend it on healthcare, or building houses for poor families.. our nation would drastically improve... which as much money as the government throws away, they could easily afford to take care of our country by protecting it AND nourishing it.

I got to tell you, I am a Democrat on some things I am very open to and others closed to. For example, the republican's are very closed to national health care, they say it will not work, do not need it. The democrats say it is needed to help those that need it. People like Rush Limball says why should I have to pay for it while people like Bob Graham says we do. I find it interesting that the people who are against national health care are republican?? It also seems funny to me that the tax cuts of the republicans plat form benefet the most wealthy people in the USA. The tax cuts does not do much for the middle and lower class people. Look at the judges and office people the republican party puts in. Look at the laws the republican party passes, (it benefits the wealthy not the middle or lower class or our country). Can anyone name one good thing that the republican party has done for the middle or lower class of our country?

We as NYS residents are the only independent state in the United States, excluding California.
We grow enough food in the Upstate, NY region to support our entire population. We create enough textiles, fabrics, and power products to keep our state running sufficiently.

The rest of the United States is an economical drain on us New Yorkers. Not to mention that they drain us culturally also.

I propose that we as New Yorkers declare ourself our own Nation.

What do my fellow New Yorkers think of this proposition?

I just heard that the miami news has reporters paid by the united states gov to write propaganda. I wander if they wanted to encourage illegals to come over for cheap labor. Seriously, with the articles I read in the fort worth star telegram and any newspaper in AZ, or chicago, I find they are biased and pro-illegal. I am a British person with a great respect for the USA constitution and for its people. But, worldwide, the USA government is despised and not trusted. On issue after issue it stands against the international community. Are foreigners right to confuse American people with the actions of their own government ?
