The quetion is irrelevant since Bush cannot run a third time. Not even Roosewelt could earn a vote in his favour for this purpopse. In any case almost all the answers are in the negative. I hold a slightly different view. It was all right in the puranic times when we could persuade god to come down and lead us out of the mess which we had created for ourselves but dumped it on the heads of some mythical 'rakshas'. The facility is no longer available. We will have make do with whatever we have.Bush is not better or worse than others. Indeed some of his steps were obviously wrong but so were Roosewel's ,Truman's, Eisenhower's and even Kennedy's. Perhaps the intenational situation itself is more complicated than before. The removal from the scene of Soviet Russia has created a vacuum which by and large helped USA to remain on line. However, this was essentially a negative approach. Why should we allow others to guide our footsteps. Are we handicapped..Now we are so cnditioned that unless there is an opponent-real or imaginary-we do not seem to be able to act. Yesterday it was Iraq and not it is Osama Been Laden. Let us strike a different path -a positive path. Then any president will do-even Bush.

Bush can't run again but he can be your elementary school teacher. He's got the book, "My Pet Goat" to prove it.

Go Double Mint Go! I am now a Green Double Mint party supporter.

Paul K quoted on 9/7/06:
"Double Mint. Both the R and the D seem to attract the "extreme". I believe the answers are usually in the middle and I recognize the need for compromise. I also think it is important to know the person. When I vote, it is usually 1/4 R, 1/4 D, The remaining are Independent or left blank."

Even if he could run again, I would only vote for him if the other side had a completely useless candidate. And since they have had just that in the last two elections, there's a good chance I would vote for him again. But, I'm glad that this is his last term. I'd like to see Guiliani or McCain in the white house. I won't vote for Jeb, if he ever runs.
