I think the country does not know what democracy is. I know that I have been confused since I "learned" politics in high school, mostly because I didn't get why war happened, and how the economy can run a country, or why we'd pick a President with such poor grammar. The last one's a joke, but only because it's true. I'm sure the answer is not moving to France, but I do hope something better comes along...

If you have some doubts about it please disabuse your mind of it. The recent exposures of secret prisons run by the CIA, the unbashedly restrictive measures which have been abandoned even by India(preventive detentions) the hush-hush way of throwing America into the Iraq war are all signs of an imperialist mindset. The spreading an atmospheric of terror of Al Quida and the international terrorism are another such instances.(Osama Bin Laden's name does not occur in the list of those accused in the 9/11 case. And he is doing all this under a mandate received from the electorate in a democracy.

Nope. Too many new blue fingers out there.

And face it, Imperialism is SOOO yesterday. Remember, the US hasn't gained any new territory and it's had plenty of opportunity to do so in the 20th Century.

Now Islamo-Fascists and Communists are still chomping at the bit for world domination, so go ahead and ask the same question about them!
