It seems the only issue the current administartion is concerned about is fighting terrorism and 'protecting' us from said terrorists. But in the meantime most US citizens have lost all faith in the government and assume the government will not help them.
When politics is corrupt at it's very core, does electing new officals even matter? Does the government only respond to hostel acts towards them?

Yeah, you heard me...even if they only serve ONE TERM, they continue to receive full pay, insurance, etc. until they die.

Adding to that tidy sum... when they leave their jobs on the Hill, they typically take six figure jobs in the private sector, join the professional lecture circuit and sit on boards of corporations

Even at $162,000 per year (their average salary) - a senator in their 50's living 30 more years will rake in more than $4,860,000- and that's just salary-no the cost to us for their benefits.

These people have won the fricking LOTTERY.

When OUR jobs are not secure in America and when our economy is in the toilet- do you think WE THE PEOPLE should cancel the "free ride for life" for our elected officials and put those MULTI MILLIONS of dollars back into programs we need for our children, our elderly and our own health care?

People who are now locked up behind bars, do they have any chances of rejoining the outside world regardless of how long they have served their sentences? If you got the chance of meeting up a former convict, would you help them regain their status in the society or get past them and let them worry over their own lives over yours?

Do you feel that there are people out there who abuse these priviledges,Or dont deserve them.
