Government - June 2006

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Government

We have so many homeless and starving people in the US. There is child abuse and battered women. Low income families living in poverty. There are not enough shelters or assistance for our own, because there are no funds. There could be, if the government would realize that we Americans should always come 1st. My father always said " Always clean up your own backyard before trying to clean up others." I believe this sums it all up in just 11 words.

Growing your own medicine can save you money, working with your own plants can be peaceful and relaxing. Yet every October when our medicinal crops are about ready for harvest, the rippers come, theives in the night stealing our medicine for illegal purposes. Yet by law we are not allowed to have a firearem on the premises to protect our medicine from getting in the hands of unlawful street pushers. It is illegal for us to protect our property from theives and to help keep our medicine where it belongs, with the patient whom it is prescribed to. How are we suppose to do our part in keeping cannabis off the streets when we can't by law have a firearm at the same location as we cultivate our medicine when so many theives that make a nightly job out of stalking and robbing our gardens are usually more armed then the local police department? Is it fair to not be able to protect our rights that we the California people voted for and protect out crops as we would protect our homes?

I am a democrat.I am also a teenager. My parents are both politcal scientists. I am here to speak my mind about Bush. I think he is and idot for starting the war on Iraq. If you disagree, I'm sorry. I just think we shouldn't have gone in and changed their way of life. Terroist hub? I don't think so.
Let's see if this makes sense... who attacked us? Terroists from afghanistan. (osama bin laden.) who does he attack? Saddam Hussein, in Iraq. Osama is still at large, and here we are in Iraq, doing nothing in importance to catching the real person behind 9-11.
Bush is an idiot.
He should be impeached.
what do you think?

What is your veiw standpoint as 'American citizen' about the real threat of North Korea? Please read the following before answering.

The president has turned the attention of the world to Iraq, Iran and all of those other middle eastern countries. But I beleive that Americas biggest problem is the the foe we least expect. History repeats itself, like always. I beleive that are biggest threat, we being the world, is the North Korean army. They still have nuclear weapons and they have threatened the United States to use them. If the United States goes to war, the rest of the world goes to war.
Thats how its always been. The North Korean army clearly is more advanced then Iraq. They have migs, they have an updated arsenel. Oh, and did I mention, they have NUCLEAR WARHEADS. Iraq might not have materials to make nucs but Korea does. I feal that the United States has stired up the hornets nest and got lucky but if the president tries another stunt like that agan I'm not so sure that America is going to come out in one peice. In other words, the Korean army will give the president the 'crash course' on why it isn't a good idea to bother North Korea with aqusations. The president can't just invade any country he wants and thinks that he can get away with it. Does he want a repeat of the Vietnam war!

There will be no middle class, only rulers and the servants. All laws will be uniform under a legal system of world courts practicing the same unified code of laws, backed up by a One World Government police force and a One World unified military to enforce laws in all former countries where no national boundaries shall exist. The system will be on the basis of a welfare state; those who are obedient and subservient to the One World Government will be rewarded with the means to live; those who are rebellious will simply be starved to death or be declared outlaws, thus a target for anyone who wishes to kill them. Privately owned firearms or weapons of any kind will be prohibited.

From the House website

House Republican leaders are expected to introduce a resolution today condemning The New York Times for publishing a story last week that exposed government monitoring of banking records.

The resolution is expected to condemn the leak and publication of classified documents, said one Republican aide with knowledge of the impending legislation.

The resolution comes as Republicans from the president on down condemn media organizations for reporting on the secret government program that tracked financial records overseas through the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT), an international banking cooperative.

Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-Ariz.), working independently from his leadership, began circulating a letter to House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) during a late series of votes yesterday asking his leaders to revoke the Times’s congressional press credentials.
