He would have been a fantastic president!!

1. He would have continued the PAY AS YOU GO system that Clinton used to balance, and keep balanced, the budget. (Bush got rid of that as soon as he came into office = deficits)

2. He would have accepted the Taliban's offer to hand over B. Laden after 911; therefore, I doubt we would have ever had to even go into Afghanistan. (Note: not the offer made to Clinton. There was another offer after 911)

3. If Saddam continued to give inspectors a hard time, Gore would have only invaded Iraq with support of the United Nations. BTW, the UN never said no but only to give inspectors 6 more months.

4. He would have stayed with the Kyoto agreement thereby we would not have an environment that is going to hell. It would at least be recovering instead of getting worse.

So, if Gore had been elected, we would not be in a unilateral war, we would have a cleaner environment, our budget would be balanced = continued great economy from the 90s, B. Laden would have been punished for 911 already, 1000s of ppl would still be alive that have died from this war on both sides, and the rest of the world would not hate us.

I think that anybody could have been. What bugs me about recent elections, is people are voting based on people's personalities. So Gore seems a little dull when he speaks. So what? At least he can speak. Nobody will ever know for sure how Gore would have done, but at this point, the standards are really low, so I think he would have done better. Bush faced the two biggest tragedies in his tenure, and failed miserably in the aftermath of both of them. Now, I understand how hard the job is, but I think after 9/11 and Katrina, you need to focus on bringing the people of this country closer together. Instead, he created a bigger rift.

What a frightening thought- Al Gore as President. It has been sad to see how far to the extrreme left- the move.org group- Al Gore has shifted since his loss in 2000. And no that election was not stolen from him. He lost Florida- close to be sure, but close only counts in horseshoes. The Miami Herald- a DEMOCRATIC NEWSPAPER did a one year exhausting study of the Florida ballots, and concluded that GWB had won ever so narrowly. The myth of a stolen election is the brainchild of Democratic sore losers.

Just take a look around you. Are you better off? I'm not. He could not have been any worse. But then we will never know because he was cheated out of the presidency. He had a better example to follow than the one we have now.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes.

After all, he won the popular vote, didn't he? It's too bad Dubya had to resort to dirty tricks and other underhandedness to steal the election.

If Gore had been elected, we would be well on the way to reversing the US' contribution to global warming. We wouldn't have so many businesses in court defending their corrupt and illegal accounting practices. Your phone calls, bank accounts, and who knows what else would not be monitored. It's unlikely we would have started a needless war with lies.

Al Gore had a lower SAT score than Dubya, a lower college GPA, and he flunked out of divinity school while Dubya has a Harvard MBA. . . What do you think?

If he would have signed the Kyoto Treaty no. That treaty works hard to make the US a third world nation again. It exempts China, Russia and most developing nations. Its a pathetic effort to bring down US Trade and Industry.
