Although I think Bush is a poor president in key areas, DJ seems to have some really good points. I'll acknowledge that Bush is a man of action and that many of his actions especially right after 911 were on target. However,
When it comes to his overall leadership, he is missing several of the most important leadership qualities. #1: Communication skills. Without any doubt he will go down as the anti-thesis of Reagan who was our "great communicator" Bush couldn't convince the devil: the qualities of an airconditioner, and he's from Texas. He makes everyone I know cringe when he speaks - even my conservative friends can't stand this fatal flaw of his presidency.
2nd - he makes up his mind quickly and never changes it - good quality after 911 for a while, but he can't adapt and overcome. When he's wrong - he won't admit it - ever. (No real plan to win the peace in Iraq after the regime was overthrown - and 3 years later - still no real plan - not willing to work with the U.N. peacekeeping forces as a legitimate transfer of power in the region)
3rd flaw - he's appointed some inefficient lack luster people to key positions in the government - FEMA, Treasury, Attorney General, CIA, Defense, State Dept. and the Supreme Court, to name a few apparently unimportant areas. Many of these people couldn't run a horse show let alone a key gov't agency.
It's time for new leadership - impeachment is very unlikely. Lets get someone next time that at least knows how to speak English clearly- and that has true leadership qualities.

There is no way that he should be impeached. He went to Afghanistan to take out the Teliban and the Al Quida. We never found bin Ladin but we don't even know if he is alive. He is getting old and has a bad heart condition. Why did we go at Hussain? He was giving financial support to terrorist groups all over the middle east. Why are we in Iraq now? There are still terrorists occupying parts of iraq and we shouldn't leave until the job is done. The Iraqi government is not stable and it still needs our support. Bush is not and idiot, he is thinking a lot more then people like you. We have a liberal media the doesn't tell the truth because it wants our country to look bad for some reason i wish i could know. Bush shouldn't be impeached he is being a great president that is keeping our country safe.

Punkgirl, it was the Democrats who made the decision to eliminate Saddam and replace his government. They bombed Iraq for days back in 1998 but failed miserably to get the job done.
Because the Democrats were a miserable failure at getting the job done they are angry that GW Bush is successful. He is making them look like the failures they are...

Quotes from Democrat Leaders - Saddam's WMD programs are a threat
http://newsmax.com/archives/articles/2003/10/5/193645.shtml
If Democrats had any honesty about them at all, this nation would not be divided. Instead, they choose to help the enemy by tearing down our own government leadership that is succeeding in what they insisted must be done. Democrats are so untrustworthy as government leaders that they should not be allowed to hold office.
Except, of course, for Joe Lieberman, whom I do respect for at least being honest about the Iraq Liberation Act. There are a few others too. Not many.

Remember September 11, 2001?
Has there been another successful terror attack on U.S. soil? Have thousands, maybe 10,000, terrorists been killed in Afganistan, Iraq and many other countries?
Are the terrorists in hiding?
Have their activities and their networks been destroyed or disrupted?
Does the US now have key military positions, air bases, missle sites and ground troops in the Middle East where we did not have any before?
Has the murderous regime of Saddam, a threat to the whole world, been toppled?
Has the murderous regime of the Taliban been removed from power?
Have the Afghan people, including women, voted in a democratic election for leaders and their own self-determination?
Have girls, for the first time ever in Afghanistan, been provided some education?
Did Iraq have a successful democratic election?
Has madman Kadaffi in Libya allowed for the first time the UN to come in and remove his WMDs?
Do third-world bullys openly make war on their defenseless neighbors without fear of the consequenses?
Is the UN a corrupt, pathetic and completely inneffective 'World Body' that could get nothing done were it not for the USA?
Don't let your blind hatred for one man cloud that the USA has been very successful in fighting the first few years of what will be a decades long war on the Jihadistanis....people who want to kill you and your family because of who you are, not what you did to them.

If both of your parents are political scientists then I think that you would know why we are in Iraq. However, since you obviously don't I will tell you...
We are in Iraq because George W Bush wasn't going to sit back and wait for something else big to happen. He has said this a million times "preemptive strike" we get them before they get us. We went to Iraq on a tip from trusted officials and in a way found what we were looking for.
Also, we are liberating an entire country. I don't want to here that we have people here who need our help because I know that but you can't help people who just want a hand out.
Or perhaps we could push him back in time to one of Saddam's torture chambers so that he can have his still attached limbs processed through a wood chipper.

The man is a total idiot. He cannot speak, he stammers & stutters & he has people write his speeches. Our country is in the worst state it has been in many years. People complained about Clinton but at least our economy was in good shape then & no one was dying in Iraq. YES! He should be impeached ! He made fun of a man during a press conference that was wearing sunglasses BEFORE he found out that the man was blind ! What an idiot !

umm...so let's see..we went to war in Iraq after we went to war in Afghanistan. so point 1 debunked. Osama is a hard person to find and NO ONE knows where to begin looking for him. There are still troops in Afghanistan looking for bin Laden, but we basically handed their country back to them which is EXACTLY what you democrats want to do in Iraq, but you complain about it one time, and whine for it the next...good job.
Bush should not be impeached because he hasn't done anything worthy of impeachment. if you have a personal vendetta against him, that's your problem, but it's high time you start to respect the president as the most powerful man in the world.
and no, i'm not saying i agree with bush on EVERYTHING, but in my opinion, it's Congress that is causing most of our problems. Not Bush.

I try not to THINK about Bush. Instead I live in my idealistic mind that I have had my whole life and with the belief that "my generation" will someday have its chance to govern and maybe we can do a better job (told to me in college) - the trouble is I am now 56 years old and still waiting. GO BARAK OBAMA!

Bush is cool. Doing a good job all things considered. To me his main job is to keep me and my family as safe as possible and so far so good, at least from a terrorist strike. Now those creak heads down the street they worry me a little but I keep an eye on them.
