If so, what do you like about her platform? I was just thinking as a middle income white male, if she was president I might go broke. I can see why the rich and not so fortunate minorities would like to see her in office, but what does she offer for us white middle class citizens?

I have been a hard core liberal for years, but I love some of his ideas. He also seems like a cool dude haha.

I feel like scum!

I can't even tell my friends about this! They'll think less of me.

The next US President is going to have one helluva job putting out fires and handling thorny issues, that is a given. (The full extent of Bush's bungling is yet to show its ugly face, that's also a given.)
The third 'given' is that the world will not be satisfied if there is not a major change the US behaviour towards it and also a change of attitude on vital issues such as the environment, world poverty and business ethics. (Gore and Bill Clinton are ridiculed only in the US, and the subprime housing fiasco was spawned by American greed and dishonesty.)
The US is fast becoming irrelevant on the world stage.

Question: Which candidate is going to be able to lead the US back to being taken seriously and respected throughout the world again?

For those of you about to attack me for being un-patriotic, you are damn right.
Wearing a flag on your lapel or repeating the oath of allegiance like a mantra is not going to cure the cancer.
Serious chemotheraphy, etc is called for.

(I've decided I'm too lazy to visit all the websites to make my own charts, so i'll ask you guys. Hope you don't mind)

I know that many say the support bailing out if Iraq, which i want, but I don't want them to cut the soldiers funding to do so. I refuse to support a candidate that would use such a tactic. Can you help me?

He says, "If you want a president who gets elected because he attacks the other guy, I'm probably not going to be your choice."

Then he says people "want a president who makes his decisions based on what's good for the people he's served, not what's good for his own political future"

and,

"I didn't grow up with a last name or a Rolodex to open a lot of doors. ... I didn't go to an Ivy League school"

and,

"Some people are going to tell you everything and anything based on what they think you want to hear just so you'll vote for them — and that's not leadership."

Whether you agree with his statements or not, whether they're true or not, aren't these "attacks"?

Saying that you're not going to attack someone is all fine and well, if you can hold to it. But if you can't, then just admit that you're wading in.

I know there are a lot of these questions being posted, but most of the answers I see are negative, and point only to why someone is a lesser evil than another.

I'd really like to hear positive input on why you're choosing the candidate that you're choosing...Not the reasons why you're not choosing someone else.

What policies does your chosen candidate have, that you agree with?

Since most of the money raised for elections is spent on TV advertising. Why can't we require that all TV stations in exchange for using the publicly owned airwaves run a certain number of ads for every candidate running. It would reduce the need to raise so much money if the amount of ads anyone could run was capped.

Tancredo dropped out of the race and endorsed Romney today, saying he's the best remaining candidate on illegal immigration.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071220/ap_on_el_pr/tancredo

Tancredo is of course a one-issue candidate, that issue being stopping illegal immigration. Tancredo is also the least popular Republican candidate in the polls.

Will having a hard-line anti-illegal immigration endorsement help Romney? Or will it hurt him to have the endorsement of such an unpopular candidate?

And why is Tancredo endorsing Romney as the best candidate on illegal immigration when until very recently, Romney employed illegal immigrants at his home?

Obama, Brownback and Ron Paul were the only Presidential candidates to sign an oath stating they will implement the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act over the entire executive branch.
Why haven't others signed this oath?

I do not believe the Republican candidates will do what they say they will and I do believe that the Democrats will do what they say they will. Is this the worst of all worlds, or what?

Anyone really thought that he would have a chance?? His only issue was immigration. That is all he talked about. Hes a Lou Dobbs type of guy. He thought that by creating more racial tension he would get Americans to vote for him. Good thing Americans are too smart for that.

The "special war funding" bill up for vote here at Christmas Eve contains 2000 pork earmarks for the incumbants to help themselves get re-elected. the dirty rotten scoundrels are putting on to us. It is all deficient spending. If the President doesn't sign, no Iraq war funding is the Democrats strategy. He must sign, right? They have him cornored. Bush is up a tree and surrounded. He cannot refuse to sign the humongous pork barrel bill from hell.

He received a political donation from a notorious admitted white supremacist, but wouldn't give it back, offering the utterly outrageous and offensive explanation that the money would be better spent in his pocket. Is this guy for real? Has he just wanted to be a fringe candidate all along? Or, perhaps, is he actually trying to cater to the "white supremacist vote"? Either way, all of you internet Ron Paul fans should do some serious re-evaluation.
