He says, "If you want a president who gets elected because he attacks the other guy, I'm probably not going to be your choice."

Then he says people "want a president who makes his decisions based on what's good for the people he's served, not what's good for his own political future"

and,

"I didn't grow up with a last name or a Rolodex to open a lot of doors. ... I didn't go to an Ivy League school"

and,

"Some people are going to tell you everything and anything based on what they think you want to hear just so you'll vote for them — and that's not leadership."

Whether you agree with his statements or not, whether they're true or not, aren't these "attacks"?

Saying that you're not going to attack someone is all fine and well, if you can hold to it. But if you can't, then just admit that you're wading in.

*rolls eyes* Of course he's not going to name names. The question was never "is he an Obvious hypocrite". But if there's one thing that Huckabee does well, it's subliminal advertising.

i tend to think everyone is a hypocrite at some point of their life.

However, what has really bugged me about Huckabee is his remarks last week about how religion should not be the focus of this Presidential campaign, and then turning around and releasing a political ad to exploit Christmas. Its horrendus.

I am definitely NOT voting for him. He is nothing more to me, than a Republican Bill Clinton. He is using the i'm a regular guy routine as Bill did in 1992! He is very liberal on social and economic issues. He is also very vague on what he will do exactly on the border issue. I know for a fact he is PRO ILLEGAL ALIENS. Being here! He believe's as many Democrats, we need these cheap labor slaves to compete on the World market. Fact is he does not say illegals are working under the table, paying no taxes, not paying into social security; And working for half what Americans would be getting. This has hurt all the labor related jobs in our country. He does not address illegals dont care about having 6,8,10 people all living in a 2 bed room apt. They expect, us to lower our standard of living, just so business's can have their cheap labor! I believe Huckabee is the biggest HYPOCRITE out there, and should be Obama's, Hillary's or Edwards; running mate!

I didn't think any of the statments that he made above were either hypocritical or represent an attack to any specific candidate. I think he has been spending a lot of time recently to lay out some differences among him and other front-runners in the republican field, since HE's been the one getting a lot of negative attacks from other ever since his steady rise in the polls.

He didn't single out anyone... So how did he bash someone? He might have bashed the actions that he didn't approve of.

Only name I seen was Rolodex...

But I think ALL politics are hypocrites.

All politicians are crooks but as it stands right now he is less crooked than the rest of them. Or more honest than the other crooks running for office.

As was the situation when he was governor of Arkansas....he says one thing but his actions prove otherwise. I would say that qualifies as being a hypocrite.
