That's funny! The newly elected Democrat Governor in my state was just on local TV showing off the Christmas card he received from the Clintons. It had Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Clintons on the front of it. If she doesn't believe in saying Merry Christmas, why would she send out Christmas cards with it on them?

Because Bill, may have sent her on so many holidays while he was working so hard in the white office trying to find where he had put all those promises to the people that voted for him, that he could never find, Plus he had this crazy aide messing with him. So, she may not know that some voters rather say Merry Christmas . Sound logical too me.

She can say whatever she wants.
However she choices to say "Happy Holidays" rather them "Merry Christmas" because not everyone is a Christian or celebrates Christmas. Others have their own beliefs and holidays at December time.
Hence instead of having to say fifty religious and holiday phases she may simply, and effectively say : "Happy Holidays."

Because in truth, she is no Christian.
She does not even actually say, "Happy Holidays" in her Christmas ad. She just says, "Where is Universal Pre-K (whatever that is)? Oh, there it is." And then the ad prints out "Happy Holidays," currently the politically correct address used by secular progressives to spit on religion and yet celebrate the holidays, even though "Holiday" comes from the term "Holy Day."

because whiney sensitive complainers get offended because not everybody celebrates christmas. IT annoys the heck out of me...The reason the holidays are what they are is because of christmas. whether you celebrate it for jesus's birth or not - that is why this time of year is such a big deal. So to say merry christmas should not offend anyone because it is mostly just a name for the type of holiday now - it is not even about jesus anymore.

Whoever told you she CAN'T say it was lying to you.
Since not everyone int he country celebrates Christmas, but nearly all celebrate a bunch of holidays during the Holiday Season (like Thanksgiving and New Year's).
So, not being a moron, like the people who think everyone in the US is Christian, she uses one of the traditional, but inclusive expressions.

What if she said Happy Channukah? Would you be happy? Who the hell cares except the self-righteous indignant hypocrite Republicans? I like Christmas and all but only for the pageantry. I, personally, don't think Jesus was the son of God, or that there even is a God. I'll celebrate his birthday as just another reason to get drunk. Why don't we hang wreaves on Dr. King or Elvis' birthdays? Why, hell. I'm even cheating on my girlfriend with another man. Pretty gay, right? I'm going to hell, right? Merry Christmas to you.
