Why would anyone want another 4 years of a Republican president?

2007-09-21 11:25:59 · 16 answers · asked by Anonymous

Personally, I get sick of them calling constantly during the18mos. -2 years before a general election. It has already started and I am dreading another election season.

Also, who thinks campaigns should be limited time wise? Say no campaigning until 2 mos. before the primaries and 3 mos. before the general election.

I'd like Arnold Schwarzenegger to become president. Or possibly David Beckham, if he can show some government experience (city council maybe?).

Or better yet, a Schwarzenegger-Beckham ticket.

So, how do I do this?

If they are so dead set against the War and are blaming Bush and his party for all that is happening there, why can't the pass the anti-war bill in the senate, and bring the troops home? They complain but get nothing done.

Isn't this like Al Gore preaching about global warming, while he pollutes more than 99.99% of the people.

It worked for taking Congress. Bush continues to improve in the polls (not much place to go but up) while Congress' approval ratings just moved from the teens. This is a serious strategy question. Please no blasting the right or left.

He passed it sometime this morning and is currently at 1828. Ron Paul is getting 4-5% in the "scientific" polls, is winning nearly every GOP straw poll, is winning virtually every online poll, and is clearly the most popular candidate on the Internet.

Does this prove he is for real? If not, what would prove that he is for real?

I just want to see how people view this issue. The working middle-class, of which I'm a member, are getting a smaller percentage of America's wealth than ever. We're becoming the working poor, as those of us who work now seem to make no more than those who don't. (and much less than those who don't and are born into wealth) Which party, Democratic or Republican, has the policies that will fix this inequity? (or allow it to be improved)

This guy has contributed millions to Democrats, but will the mainstream media focus on minor Republican issues like a bathroom stall incident, or some dirty emails?
If the media were truly unbiased, would Democrats even have a chance in winning elections?

Vote Democrat and this is what you will get! PS I this is not mine. I can't remember where I got it but it really nails it!........
It seems your representatives in congress got the job done as you planned. Please mark the following date on your calendar Oct 1 2007. Effective on that date US troops will begin the immediate surrender to al Queda forces in the middle east. Hold tight, your spokesman Harry Reid has just announced your successful victory over the United States. Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy will be contacting you ASAP with the surrender documentation.

But to further sweeten the deal for you, Nancy Pelosi has stepped up to the plate and promised the world to rid the USA of Bibles and history books currently in circulation.

But wait they aren't done yet, Bin. Barack Obama, your fellow muslim and loyalist has gone the extra mile. He has announced his plan to fully disarm America by the time of your arrival for Hillary's inauguration. Using the Va Tech shooting as a spring board for disarming this should be all wrapped up by no later than Jan 1 08'.

Why are we so kind you ask? Well after reviewing your 12 step plan to eliminate all infidels from the earth starting with 6 million Americans with half being children we figured why stop there? Where are we at now, phase 7 of this venture? Yeah well anyway we know you don't to enslave us, or dominate us, you just want us all dead, so what the hey lets get it over with.

Don't forget Bin, October 1st 07' put it on your calendar then re-invade Iraq and Afghanistan.

PS: You might wanna stock up on some Iranian WMD's, after all theres millions and millions of people who voted for democracy over there, and they gotta go now aye!

Look at K Street Gang. Republicans created or at least kept their mouth shut about the K Street Gang because Republicans wanted to control by any means the national agenda. The results are going to be a dynamic and wide spread repudiation of Republican rule and leadership in the Congress of the United States for many years to come.
The obvious fall back position for the Republicans is to blame the Democrats for the failure of the Iraq War, but the Republicans were in control of every branch of Government as the Iraq War started in 2003 and proceeded for four years, longer than WW11 lasted lasted to control the War and fail to resolve the War during that period.
And now that the War is lost all the Republicans want to accomplish is turning the War over to the Democrats in the vain effort to transfer the responsiblility of the War to the Democrats rather than join in with the Democrats to resolve the Iraq War in a manner of cooperative disingagement? Why can they not admit failure?

Celebs, movie stars especially, but also singers, TV entertainers, sports stars and even some really stupid or evil people gain huge amounts of TV time and attention without much evident effort. In fact the worst of them seem to be on TV more than legitimately talented poeple. Then they are constantly interviewed on the Today, Tonight, Larry King, Oprah, etc. etc. shows. Yesterday, I turned on the Today Show and the lead story was all about OJ, getting bailed out and going to Florida. The TV network even had a helicopter flying overhead to show his attorney's car taking him the airport. How is it that our possible presidential candidates don't merit the same attention so they can tell us, without having to pay a small fortune, what they believe and would do if elected?
