I NEVER considered myself dem or rep. Now you have to choose one b/c it is so divided & a person is for EVERYTHING or a conservative. My question is what happend to way things were 20/30 years ago? We are in AMERICA. Christmas & EASTER are American Holidays something we looked forward to at school, the parties, the gifts & just what Christmas mean to American (most) What has really happend? With everyhting going on now... I wouldn't be surprised if one day we are over thrown by a 3rd worls country. I mean look who we let speak at Columbia University!!! How much softer & ignorant are we going to get? What happend to us? United We Stand DIVIDED WE FALL. Please people look around, the congress has an 11% approval rating & they were going to do so much Gas is still $4.03 gal... highest ever & they want to raise our taxes as if our taxes our not high enough. I am not okay w/ Pres. Bush & the can worms he has opend But it is a DONE DEAL we have to get through this and WIN We have NO choice

Even though other First World Nations have elected a woman to head their Governments we have not. In the circles that I travel in most people are not bothered by the idea of a woman president. However, I know there is still plenty of misogyny and sexism out there. How do you think this will affect the national election if she wins the Democratic nomination?

I'm a Democrat, and I can admit Eisenhower and Ford were good Presidents. Can you do the same if Clinton44 turns out to be a good one?

will the Republicans respect him or her as a human being, never mind as our President? Will Fox News report straightforward news about what the new President is up to, or will they continue with their hate speech and be gleeful every time they see the President has done something "bad", "funny", or "wrong"?

You know, it's funny... I used to watch the news on my local Fox network and when they did that story about when Bush choked on a pretzel, I don't remember them launching into a fit of laughter right after the report, and then trashing Bush on-air.

I didn't even know what Fox News was back when Clinton was president, so I can't verify how he was spoken about on their broadcasts at the time.

I hope the conservatives here who do nothing with their answers but bash liberals (and vice versa) aren't the typical majority of those who share their beliefs. I hope they will say they at least respect the position of President, despite if they agree with them or not.

No offense, but as time changes ..technology should too. These counting of the ballots is only leading to OLDER voters.
I was reading the online debate and from 160,000 people .. OBAMA won 35% , Clinton won 31% .. Clearly Clinton is not the front-runner to beat as the polls suggest ( again only calling landmind phones and only to groups of 1,000 people- AT BEST) Why didnt that factor into the polling data.. And for that matter., it kinda shows you who the media is really supporting or has been bought out by.

I refuse to register to vote, I just don't believe in electing liars and theives. Just about all elected officials use their office for personal gain. Will there ever be anyone in the White House who is really for the people who put them there? What happened to helping OUR OWN COUNTRY???? We have alot of people here that really need government help, but the government just don't care about them. This country is going to H*** in a handbasket quickly with no help in sight.

..or are they all in lock-step with their party?
I have found this great website which outlines the voting records and political stands on any imaginable issue by politicians form every party and every state with tools to make side by side comparisons of the candidates on these issues. This could be the single most important candidate research tool available to voters who actually care about the candidates and the issues.
Every voter should use this tool before picking whom they will give their votes.

According to political Analyst Bill Schneider from CNN
Americans choose their presidents, like spoiled kids do Christmas presents. Americans usually get what they want in a president, but then they discover they want something else.
That's the proverbial question, to which the answer perpetually changes depending on America's mood swings

I am a full-time student and we had to dig up dirt on Senator Barack Obama and was I ever appalled. Did you know that his church tells him to "support his own" first. Now are we ready for a president like this? And thats not half as bad as others found.................

Some people aren't ready for neither one of them to be in office. No one is ready for a woman to be in office because they think that a woman can't handle the job. And no one wants an African American in office because many think that a black should not be held with the job. Personally, I think that we shouls have a black in office because it would show that there is at least some kind of diversity. And I think that a woman should be in office because it would show that women can do the job.

This question really stems from Republicans being portrayed as hypocrits now because of some of the people's actions in that party recently.

The problem with USA primaries is that when the primary reach the last group of States, the people of those States are down to just 2 to 3 choices. All other candidates have dropped out.
