No offense, but as time changes ..technology should too. These counting of the ballots is only leading to OLDER voters.
I was reading the online debate and from 160,000 people .. OBAMA won 35% , Clinton won 31% .. Clearly Clinton is not the front-runner to beat as the polls suggest ( again only calling landmind phones and only to groups of 1,000 people- AT BEST) Why didnt that factor into the polling data.. And for that matter., it kinda shows you who the media is really supporting or has been bought out by.

The only problem that I see with that is.. How would people know it was really me placing the votes and not someone standing in?

Yes, we have great technology, but we have technology that is not yet hacker proof.

Wow, the liberal cry that the republicans stole the last 2 elections, imagine if we voted online and the Republicans won, we would never hear the end of.

On a less sarcastic note, those who would vote online but not in person are too lazy to have their vote counted. It is once every 4 years (presidential) take the time off and go down to your local polling place.

Online voting would be great if you could prevent someone from hacking the system and selecting your winning candiates for you. Besides, how do we determine if the person voting is actually entitled to do so over a computer connection. Just another way to bring the technoligical revolution to voting fraud.

Because if you do not think it is important enough to go do then you do not deserve to be counted. Even if you could solve the security problems voting is important and should be done in person.

If you wanted to alter the outcome of an election all you would have to do is cut the power to the opponents high turnout areas. If you lost power in a large city you could kill the Demoncrats.

Wait, so we can't even produce secure electronic voting machines that can't rig elections and you want to go to online voting next? Are you serious?
There is nothing wrong with paper ballots and there never has been. Technology is great but it needs to stay out of elections since computers can be manipulated.

How many questions are you trying to ask and which ones do you want us to answer?

As for online voting....We still have issues with paper ballots, Why would we want to risk opening it up to a system that could be hacked. Lets get the current system working before we add more problems.

Because it would be impossible to trace any specific vote back to a specific individual. How would anyone know if I actually voted, or if someone using my stolen username/password in an online system voted in my place?

i see a lot people saying "but how do they know its me?" but that goes for voting as it is today. a person doesn't even need a photo id in places to vote, just a card, so how do they know its you when you are pulling the lever?

WAY too easy to hack. It takes seconds to set up a program to run on your PC to vote millions of times.

Voting on line would open many opportunities for fraudulent voting.
