will the Republicans respect him or her as a human being, never mind as our President? Will Fox News report straightforward news about what the new President is up to, or will they continue with their hate speech and be gleeful every time they see the President has done something "bad", "funny", or "wrong"?

You know, it's funny... I used to watch the news on my local Fox network and when they did that story about when Bush choked on a pretzel, I don't remember them launching into a fit of laughter right after the report, and then trashing Bush on-air.

I didn't even know what Fox News was back when Clinton was president, so I can't verify how he was spoken about on their broadcasts at the time.

I hope the conservatives here who do nothing with their answers but bash liberals (and vice versa) aren't the typical majority of those who share their beliefs. I hope they will say they at least respect the position of President, despite if they agree with them or not.

The Democratic president will get as much respect as Bush did. Unfortunately the nature of politics in the USA is not very gentle. It has always been that way, all over the world in every age. Unfortunately the press tends to exaggerate the most extreme political positions. That is why the best elected officials are often Democrats elected from Republican districts, and Republicans elected form Democratic districts.

So long as it is President Obama, they will. He is a conservative Democrat that is going to reach across party lines and extend equal opportunity. Anyone else won't have a chance.

No "IF", about it.

"Pull up your socks,
and grab your koks,
the Democrats are a comming."

I feel sorry for us Working People.
We will get nailed.
Democrats are gloating & foaming at the mouth already.
THEY WANT OUR PAYCHECKS.
