A good idea. The extra time gives them more of a chance to follow through on things. Even better addition: if you're in office, you can still serve 2 terms, just not consecutively. This would force change every 6 years without taking the president's attention away from running the country.

I think it's a good idea. I have thought about this myself. The best thing about this is that they wouldn't be spending the first four years in office mostly worrying about getting reelected. They could actually concentrate on doing their job and not on campaigning. I think that if this were to happen they ought not to campaign for others who run for president either. Perhaps, with a single six year term, we could get presidents who govern rather than presidents who simply are political campaigners.

I like the 4 year system. It would allow us to vote out (usually)presidents that we don't want in office before to much damage is done. You can see what can happen in six years, scary.

In the cases of Jimmy Carter and Boy Clinton, I was dying for a change after one month!

Thats a tough question. I know I registered to vote to vote AGAINST Bush and took my mother with me was shocked he was reelected. So it really depends on the candidate but its a scary thought to think we'd have to put up with Bush #2 mistake for another 2 years. I mean hello, we done had his father mess up everything and Clinton had to get us outta of that in there and I be darn if everyone else voted for f up Bush #2 back in the office.................They both sucked but noone can learn.

In the case of Mr. Bush, the left wing liberal loonies have been stabbing him in the back since December of 2000.
