I really can't understand how these people can so blindly follow such a leader...although historically I know it happens. God help us!

Are you trying to say that a Republican in general wouldn't be a good President? That's an extremely uneducated thing to say. Biased much?...yeah... Republicans blocked the timeline for troop withdrawal because it's a horrible idea! A timeline is rediculous. Troops should start coming home when the Iraqis can take care of themselves. I'm starting to believe that a majority of people don't care about finishing anything that was started and want to cut and run instead. Even if you don't support the war...you support the idea of just leaving?...don't finish the job? Anyone with that idea is not a good leader.

Put yourself in the shoes of the terrorists. We announce a timeline...say 18 months for withdrawl. What would you do?
You would maintain some attacks for about 12 months, then you would taper them off over the last 6 months so that we could follow through with the withdrawl. Then, as soon as all of our troops were out, you would take over Iraq and laugh your heads off at our SURRENDER! Then you would plan the next attack just knowing that all you have to do is remain in hiding afterwards until our resolve broke again.
A TIMELINE IS A SURRENDER WITH A DEADLINE!

They have a point though - if we acknowledge that the troops are there (in Iraq, I assume) to do a specific job, then they should be allowed to complete that job - not limited by a fixed timeline.
Personally, I don't think they have a specific job to do & they are just being killed for no good reason & I would bring them home NOW. But I an a naturalized citizen, so I'm not GOOD enough to be president.
What do you think - would YOU vote for me ?

Cause in my eyes they are much better than the democrats. I'm not a repub so don't even go there.
When the democrats actually come up with a good candidate I will reconsider but not until.

Why would anyone want Republicans in Congress who do nothing but block anything good. Those same people when they had control of Congress were secretive and more obstructionist than any in history. With the 2008 election many of the obstructionists will be voted out of office and we will finally be able to get moving forward again.

Republicans; treat people with self-respect, in mind and heart, as maturity goes so goes equity in a global society! If one is not mature to except personal responsibity for their actions maybe the problem is with them! They cannot look in the mirror and see an idiot and apologize for being one! If you are human and a republican, that is bad to the social fad democrat rock'n'roll rap crowd who hate anyone being old fashioned, because it is corny!

Because the alternative is 4 years with a Democrat President and I don't think our seniors would live through them cutting Medicare anymore than they already have.

Good for them.
Wars are not won on a schedule. Withdraw the troops as the situation permits.
