If they are so dead set against the War and are blaming Bush and his party for all that is happening there, why can't the pass the anti-war bill in the senate, and bring the troops home? They complain but get nothing done.

Isn't this like Al Gore preaching about global warming, while he pollutes more than 99.99% of the people.

Because they are politicians. As politicians they say things that they don't mean just so they will stay in office. If the democratics was serious about getting out of Iraq they would not have given any more of the taxpayers money to this war! Dennis Kucinich was against the war in Iraq from the very beginning. I would think that this would give him more credibility with the voters then someone (Hilary Clinton) who voted for the war. Clinton is a typical politician.

The Democrats aren't the only ones in Congress. If they were the bills would have passed a long time ago but there are those people in congress who are not in favor of the will of the people. They are called Republicans. They don't let many bills pass and when there is a bill that passes that would do the will of the people Bush vetos it anyway. What they don't seem to realize is that by doing this the Republicans are nailing shut the GOP coffin for the 2008 election and possibly for many years to come.

Because the Obstructionist Republican minority is filibustering the bill.
They refuse to allow a straight up or down vote.
Perhaps the Dems should unveil "The Nuclear Option" in response.

Do you even know how the govt works? They need 60 votes to pass legislation. There are not 60 Dems in the Senate.

The republicans refuse to work with the democrats towards accomplishing anything. Bush keeps on vetoing all & every bill. How can Congress accomplish anything when they are constantly coming up against a wall? It's a hopless no-win situation that is just hurting & dividing our country more & more every day.

Because, what most Democrat supporters fail to realize is that, the Democrats (just like the Republicans) are puppets to the owners of the Federal Reserve who are profiting off of war just as they have done so with every single military conflict the United States has been involved in since WWI.

Democrats don't have enough votes and the only thing the Repubs are passing since 1994 is gas.

The democratic majority in the Senate is not large enough to pull off legislation to end the war. The balance is barely tipped in their favor and they require a goodly number of Republican votes to get legislation passed. Even if they could manage to pass legislation, GW Bush would veto the legislation, making the number of votes even higher to overide.

Because they lack the political courage to go back to their constituents with such a vote.
