Celebs, movie stars especially, but also singers, TV entertainers, sports stars and even some really stupid or evil people gain huge amounts of TV time and attention without much evident effort. In fact the worst of them seem to be on TV more than legitimately talented poeple. Then they are constantly interviewed on the Today, Tonight, Larry King, Oprah, etc. etc. shows. Yesterday, I turned on the Today Show and the lead story was all about OJ, getting bailed out and going to Florida. The TV network even had a helicopter flying overhead to show his attorney's car taking him the airport. How is it that our possible presidential candidates don't merit the same attention so they can tell us, without having to pay a small fortune, what they believe and would do if elected?

Turn the show off, and write the network. Don't buy the magazine and email them and tell them as long as they publish this stupid trash, you aren't buying. I just thought I was tired of listening to Brittany and Linsay's problems but more OJ makes me want to puke. . .

I agree with you and Towanda!! I am sick of it also. I agree we should all ...

Turn the show off, and write the network. Don't buy the magazine and email them and tell them as long as they publish this stupid trash, you aren't buying.

I am tired of hearing about Brittany's , Lindsay's, Nicole Richie's and all of their problems ( most of which they did to themselves) !!! I will not even say that other person's name, I am so sick of him and hearing about him, I don't know what to do. My biggest fear is that the networks will be monitoring his every move.

I tell you what, I am not watching!!!

The real tragedy is that the presidential candidates will never get the kind of coverage that the celebrities get because they have real issues and problems to deal with and address. Unfortunately, many people in our country are so shallow and intellectually lazy that they would rather listen to what is happening in the lives of celebrities than to listen to what is really happening to real everyday citizens in this country.

The sad thing is if they do not wake up and wise up, some of the issues that the candidates are trying to address will be knocking right on their front doors and then they will want to know " what the heck is going on and who is addressing it?". I wish people would wise up.

Because the mainstream media is making plenty of money keeping you ignorant. Why should they talk about the threat from radical Islam and illegal immigration when they can much more easily show you a video of Paris Hilton and other celebusluts puking on themselves?

This is why newspapers are losing money and talk radio is growing bigger and bigger. The San francisco Chronicle loses one million dollars a week because all of their stories are either non-stories or they're anti-American.

Follow the money and the political agenda.

It's simply the American public is so wrapped up in whats going on in the celebrity world that they fail to truly address to real issues that affect our country and is destroying it on a daily basis. Politics, health care, social reform is not as fun to talk about or watch as Brittney Spears or Linsay Lohen's drug issues, or what stupid **** Micheal Jackson is up and all the other retarded stuff that stimulates the average Americans attention span.

Public Television hosted a democratic debate tonight. You should have watched that. Otherwise, enjoy the break in campaigning. It's still gonna be a long trail.
