The DC Voting Rights Act (HR 1905 and S 1257) would give DC one vote in the House of Representative and would give Utah one additional at large seat (Utah believes they lost a seat in redistricting because of how the Census counted Morman's doing missionary work) so that there would be 436 Members of Congress. After the 2010 Census, the total of Members of Congress would got back to 435, but DC would be apportioned one House seat and Utah would get what ever its population entitled it to.

DC would not have any voting rights in the Senate and would not be a state.

Unlike any other US territory or protectorate, residents of Washington, DC pay federal taxes. Guam, Puerto Rico, and the others do not pay federal income tax.

Washington, DC has about 581,530 residents. Wyoming has 515,004 residents.

It was early August of 1964 and the presidential election was less than 3 months away.

Barry Goldwater was depicting LBJ as being "soft on Communism" and there was no way of knowing how persuasive this argument would be to the voters that November.

By "ginning up" a little military conflict and show-of-force, did LBJ assure his own election to the presidency in November of 1964?

Did Karl Rove and Dick Cheney follow this same scenario to assure a margin of victory in the presidential election of 2004?

Did I hear it right? He made a huge proposal to send lobbyist back to 'K' Street, and is laying down new policy on special interest offenses. I believe we are watching something special.

Is there "Democrat" vs. "Republican" anymore???

Seems like it's more like the Ron Paul party who want the fiat money scams, invasions, genocides and official oppression to stop

vs.

the paid Council on Foreign Relations Candidates who have vowed to destroy Anerican sovereignty and the US Consitution for a UN run one world government.

I mean, am I right or is there another candidate running for President that will abolish the I.R.S. which deposits all income tax directly to the privately owned Federal Reserve which prints the money out of nothing.

Ron Paul has also stated that the 16th Amendment was never ratified, so the income tax is, in effect, illegal.

Howcome no other candidates talk about that ? Democrat or Republican ?

How about the other issues that are the will of the people? Iraq War? Real ID?

There is no Democrat vs. Republican ...

It is Ron Paul vs. Freemasons

America vs. The New World Order ?

Which side will you be on ?

RON PAUL 2008!!

How many poor people do we have in America (which is the United States) and how much money has it been costing us in tax dollars to keep sending that piece of **** in the sky that punctures our ozone each time it comes and goes? Who really gets paid for the actions to violate or perpetrate upon our rights to civilized loans to purchase homes and decent automobiles?

Who pays sites like Yahoo!News to "spotlight" certain candidates while burying the rest, both in coverage, exposure and face-time?

Example: Click on the candidate's "pages" linked from the Politics site and take note of the date/time of published news-stories. You'll see some candidates get "up-to-the-minute" listings while others have virtually none. Ron Paul - who trounces competition in various debates, online polls and public reaction is afforded virtually no headlines. Who pays to have this done?

My guess is that he will be let out to breath before the '08 elections as a last middle-finger from the Bush Administration to the media. Call me names if you feel so inclined. Again, it's just a guess at what is happening.

Every time elections are held, only 40-60% voters turn up. After the result many undeserving people get the seats. As a result people get an in-competent government.
This government is ineffective because the power is in hands of incompetent people.
This happens because 50% of voters donot vote. Because of them the country is suffering. They are actually not citizen of India, but they are liabilty to the country.
It is because of these people the fellow citizens & country is suffering.
It should be made law that.if people donot go to vote then they should be punished or deported.
Voting is as mandatory for a prosperous-country as food is for living.

Should we, the people, demand term limits of all our elected officals? And if so should we demand that a person can not seek elected office by moving from one elected office to another, remaining on government payroll for the vast majority of their lifes?

I read the article I'm leaving a link to and was surprised to find that Bloomberg and the Clintons are very friendly. It occurred to me that rather than gearing up for a White House run, as many think because he left the Republican Party, Bloomberg may instead be gearing up to be Sen. Clinton's running mate for the Democratic ticket. Please check out the article and tell me what you think about this possibility. Thanks!
