What If They Gave a War and Everyone Came

What if they gave a war and everyone came;
Every senator’s son and daughter.
Every senator too and me and you:
Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Moslem, Jew, in barter.

What if Yale and Harvard went port to starboard,
Sending every scholastic son and daughter.
And “Think Tanks” had to go, committing “who know”
To clean up after the slaughter.
Yes, there’d still be war, but we’d know what for
When we buried our brave sons and daughters.

First it was Bombay, then this recent blast. What are we paying the railways for?If they cannot take care of the Common Man.A Minister or a VIP or any "important" person on any given day has commandos /police armed and ready to protect his "valuable" life. Why is it that the railway cant Afford the Security for the"100's of common life" that use it and hence contribute to nation building.Sending hundreds of troops and police after a tragedy has almost become an eyewash. How many time can you fool the people.Every time a tragedy strikes, they wake and give promises only to be shelved later. For heavens sake learn from such disasters so that people can "Travel to life and meet the loved ones not death".

If the next major tragedy or calamity to scar the Earth occurred close to your home, but you and your home were unaffected, would you allow victims of the event to inhabit your home with you till they got back on their feet?

If no, are there any circumstances you would allow such cohabitation?

Also if no, would you ask to cohabit another person's home if roles were reversed?

Also if no, if you would you refuse to accept a citizen of your own country, but allow a citizen of a different country? Which countries would you accept people from?

If yes, under what conditions? Would you draw up a list of rules, laws, or requirements that the visitors would have to live by? Would you make them pay money to live with you? If they didn't follow your rules, would you kick them out on the street?

When our leaders know that terrorism erupts becoz of certain undecided issues or certain people or groups are deprived of their fundamental rights or discrimnatory attitudes of the authorities or authoritarian/dictatorship attitudes & practices or by fake encounters etc etc.
Why do not we try to find out solutions to these & other such issues. I presume if world leaders and Masters would made sincere efforts in solving the burning issues of present world, the terrorism can be considerably brought down, if not eliminated totally. What generally people think about it?

Babaloo Shrivastava released recentely. Don't judges undertand the fact that he is a criminal. Do we really need to prove that people like him is a guilty.
Can't our juricediction punish them without hearing?
If we catch Dowood Ibrahim any hearing is required at all to punish criminals like him.If yes, then I would suggest to do what ever antisocial activity you want to do nobody will stop us.
I want to know whether Indian constitution have given right to give verdict to universal criminals like Dawood Ibrahim, Babaloo Shrivastava and others to our so called JUDGES or not.

President Robert G. Mugabe, of Zimbabwe, is holding an 83rd birthday party in the middle of his country's devastating bread crisis. The birthday party is predicted to cost enough to feed thousands of people for months. Zimbabwe's bread bakeries have been forced to close because of government mandated price controls, which have been forcing bakeries to sell bread at a loss. Civil protest has been met with police resistance and government bans on demonstrations and political gatherings. Threats to postpone Zimbabwe's next presidential election have also come from Mugabe. If nothing is done then loss of life could be severe.

I would like to find out what it would take to get my city officials to put in speed bumps on my three adjoining streets. I live in a neighborhood where three streets interceede each other and the kids drive by here and actually race to see if they can make it around the curve without crashing. There are young little kids here in this part of the neighborhood as well. So its a multiple safety issue here. I reckon I could take pic's of the streets but its hard to catch the kids in thier cars from going so fast as I would have to quit my job and station myself outside the entire day to catch them. This happens day and night but not necessarily every day.
Any ideas on how I can acheive this. ?

As Asia (Iran in specific) becomes a hot spot by virtue of the fact that its a "future energy bowl" ,Coalitions of Convenience matter.Indias dream pipeline from Iran through Pakistan can be easily extended to the corners of South East Asia.Europe seems to be disinterested, for in the bargain it will loose an alternative over its already heavily over reliant suppliers- Russia and CIS .Iran becoming a "Power Player" in Asia would be at the cost of the other side of the Gulf which till date allies with American plans.Worry for the US?Is Europe and US trying to play fowl by hyping the Iranian Nuclear Issue? What is Asia's best option to keep the things under control?.An Asian Coalition to Oversee Our "Internal" Affairs?

In recent times the population of Americans who participate in civic organizations, whether fraternal grps, garden clubs, political parties, environmental organizations, youth minded clubs, even bridge clubs and bowling leagues, has been dwindling.
What's your excuse? What would entice you back?
What would be enough to get you to participate in civil society?
What made you leave? Why did you never find an interest in the first place?
What kind of nation will we have when we all sit here in front of a computer at home, alone?
