Yes, I do remember. When water was free, bread was less than .50 a loaf, whole milk was good for you, we all grew our own vegetables and fruit, you could go out to play without adults or protective gear, when someone broke an arm and no one sued. When we all had chores and an allowance was for the work you had to do anyway, when we got dirty, only had one pair of shoes for school and church and one play pair, but went barefoot in the summer, no power lawmowers, weed eaters, rototillers, video games, and children didn't have be put diets or forced to move and everyone knew if you did something 'bad' you WOULD be punished.
I think it got left behind when we all moved to town where we were strangers, when money became more important the integretity, when credit had to be earned by good purchase choices and responsibility, when corporate greed overcame employee's loyalty, when insurance and banking were not for profit, and when news went to 24 hrs a day.

Sure do remember those days, those were the best years of my life.Lived in a small town in Canada. We were'nt rich but always had lots of fun.Stores were open every Saturday night. If you had a quarter you could buy a coke and a hotdog and still have money left over.In the summer there was street dances, country music.even had bingo games in the park.Hay rides in the summer and sleigh rides in the winter. So as you say, where has all the time gone?Lots of good memories.

Oh, to bring those days of yore back. Aaaaaahhhhh. But aren't you dating yourself with these whimsical thoughts? To be sure, though, those were truly the good old days. What's sad is we all have to grow up sometime and make the world go round.

Gone were the happy days when work was minimal but well compensated and the money is worth for anything. Modernity made man to labor for his expenses nowadays.
