No.Definitely not.India can make better use of him.Dont bind him to designations and protocols that hamper his free thinking.
Better Options:
He should be made the Chief Advisor to the PM on IT.
Like the Green Revoloution and Operation Flood in Agriculture, his expertise should be used to Head the "Cyber Revolution in Rural India".
He could also Chair the DRDO - help it go Techy and do what it was meant to do.He should be made a member of the Planning Commision because we need people who can not only Plan but also Implement things.

Definitely not, because In our country president is not the administrative head & we should look for that personality who had headed our Indian defence field for quite some years should be nominated for the first citizen of the nation. We have a great respect for Mr. Narayan shawamy of Infosys as a very successful professional & he is one of the pioneer for our rapidly growing software industry & it will be inspiration & ideal of many young people. we have a great hope from him for our country's economical growth & in making differerent srategies in software development field. So we should'nt disturb him.

The governance of a Nation cannot be equated to the business establishment where the primary motive is commercial and all other considerations are subservient to this motive. Mr. N.R. N.Murthy is a good commercial industrialist (IT Industry), but with that mindset he will be a failure as head of a Nation !!!

why not? he's a person who believes in unity & human relations and known for his leadership qualities.but,he said that he was unwilling to enter into politics.though first citizen needs not to be in politics, there exists a lots of pressure by the politicians over him.so,i think he shall live in his own way what he decides..

however personally,i prefer our honourable & beloved president Dr.Kalam to continue the 2nd term..
