of the end of Insurance Corp tyranny?

The Cigarette Industry caved in under the weight of thousands of wrongfull death lawsuits. Are we seeing the beginning of an even BIGGER wave of murder lawsuits that will destroy the Insurance Coprs in a similar fashion?

What say you Little Tall?

For a generation now, Republicans talk about smaller government and cutting taxes, while, actually, increasing the size of government, and, cutting taxes at the margin, without, cutting spending, creating amazingly large federal deficits.

Here is a man that truly is conservative, so, why doesn't he have more support indicated by the polls?

A friend of mine gets child support from this guy and hasn't heard from him for about a week. She thinks he went to Florida to visit friends over the holidays, but part of her thinks he's trying to escape permanently (like he's done in the past)?

I get a break for 15 minutes at eleven, and another one in the afternoon. Nevertheless, I would work 6 hours after my lunch break and feel absolutely tired and energy deprived. My friends tell me that there is a law that entitles people to take their 1 hour break after half the working period i.e. if I work from 9 till 7, that are 10 hours, I am entiteled to take my lunch/rest break at 2 o'clock instead of 12 pm?
I am a sales assistant and work in a stressful, busy environment. Last time when I started at 10.30 and worked till 6. I only got a half a hour break at 1 pm, leaving me absolutely exhausted when my shift was finished. my manager doesn't listen and I would appreciate if anybody knows whether there is law that gives me the right to take my break after half of my working time.

"The Lobster is at the forefront of the next new weapon in the war on terror: a handheld device that could help Homeland Security agents see
through wood, concrete and steel," reports
_N.htm> Fox News.

"Technology based on the crustacean's uncanny ability to see through dark, cloudy, deep sea water is guiding scientists funded by the government in the early stages of developing a ray that one day could be used by border agents, airport screeners and the Coast Guard."

It will be used as well to snoop people deemed a political threat by the government, including suspected terrorists.

What else could this device be used for?.

If this question looks familiar, there's a good reason for it. Someone else asked it earlier this morning, but EVERY time I tried to respond to it, I got an "Error 999" message from Yahoo when I clicked on the "Submit" button.

SO -- I guess the only way I can respond to it is to RE-ask it, here, and then follow up with the answer I *tried* to give it before. Here's the answer I couldn't get through ---

"Ron Paul clearly has the same chance of getting nominated as a snowflake would have of surviving in a fully-stoked blast furnace. As for the other Republican candidates -- they all are in the pocket of the UN-Christian "Religious" Radical Right, and I wouldn't vote for any of them if they were running for dogcatcher. Here's why. (Right-click on each link, and "Open in New Window" that you can easily close. Then tell me if you'd still vote for a Republican, if you currently feel so inclined.) ---

This is a very narrow-minded view. If that's the case then even children who are here illegally who didn't even come voluntarily must be criminals!

The Scottsdale PD is stepping up to the plate and asking everyone ARRESTED for their proof of citizenship. If they do not have documentation, they are calling ICE and holding suspect for deportation. Great idea? I had know idea my city was doing this. I figured they would be like Phoenix, considering the people of Scottsdale are presumed to be hiring illegal workers for their lawn care..

Thoughts? Are we equal now? No racism? Because everyone has to prove they are..gulp..legally a citizen now.

If a crime boss ordered the killing because the victim was his enemy, he will be tried for murder even though he did not actually pull the trigger. Why can't the same rules applied for politicians?

First of all I think we can all agree that our "for profit" system we have now, must and will be replaced. Now, how about this?
1. All workers will pay in let's say 2% of our paychecks(automatically deducted) each week.
2. Our employers match this with another 2% .
3. The Federal government pays in another 2%
Total 6% each week that will go into a separate group health insurance fund. Separate from the federal budget; separate account all together.

That way we all pay the same PERCENTAGE each week regardless of income. We all know nothing is free, but this way the workers, business and government would in pay equally. Of course the rich would pay more (their fair share) and the poor would pay less (there fair share). To cover all of our health care and prescription drug coverage. And since we all contribute into it, it could not be called socialism or free health care.

We could call it something like the American Triad Health Insurance Plan.

Thanks to all who responded to my previous question about housing. The answers I recieved did give me a better insight and made me realize it will probably be in best interest for my husband and I to get a place off base rather than trying to get into on base housing. Another question I have is my husband is from India. He is now a US citizen and though he in many ways has adapted to life here in America since he has been here (4 years) is still learning the ways of life here as India is like a whole other planet compared to here of how different everything is. Will this be a problem for him in the Air Force?

What are the main differences between the regular Army and the National Guard? I've heard that you can be active duty in the Guard and it's basically the same as the Army deployment and training wise but they don't have you moving around to different bases, you just stay where you signed up while you're not deployed, is this true?
