Many well known products are now made in china, but they always fall apart or brake down. Is it because chinese people cant read instructions and make things because they can't see properly?

Hey, I just have a question for you guys. I don't mean any disrespect but I am just curious as to what is going through your head when you are ordered to spray tear gas and use tasers etc. during protests and demonstrations. Do you have a hard time going through with it? Do you ever feel like you need to talk to someone about it? Would you refuse to use if a relative or close person such as a son, nephew or child's friend were to be in the crowd. Thanks for your answers. I have a psychology paper that I need to writte and you answers would help.

With the likelyhood that Democrats will retain the majority in congress are we better of with a Republican President? With the exception of the current situation, the country has run fairly well with the power split up (ex. Reagan and a Dem Congress and Clinton with a Republican Congress). Thoughts?

Why do people run for president if they know there is no way they can win? For example, why would Ron Paul go through this long and expensive process. This is not a slam against him, I actually like a lot of what he has to say, but somewhere he must know the GOP will never nominate him. Is it just for principle? Hope for a VP run? I dont get it.

I would imagine it is because countries there are more equals rather than one country being rich and another very poor. Compare that to the US and Mexico.

Crazy idea: to fix US immigration, work WITH neighbors to pull them out of poverty and they won't want to come to the US for jobs anymore.

Can't say it doesn't work, because it's working all over the EU right now.

In 1973, 1978 and 1993, universial health care legislation was before Congress.

Each time, we had a Democratic majority Congress,

And each time, the Democrats tabled the universial health care legislation in committee and refused to allow it to be voted on.

You often hear them give reasons why we should have it.

But they can never tell anyone, how much such a system would cost.

Or how it would be funded.

Why is that ?

The leader of a mainstream british party has disclosed that he is an atheist. A US congressman has done the same.

I know in some states it is illegal for an atheist to hold office, but do you think it is becoming possible for an atheist to hold political office.

Will the atheist vote ever be taken seriously? 5 to 10 % is a big number in politics and it could be bigger than that.

My last day at work is two fridays from now. That same day we are having a pot luck and I am thinking about making a batch of "special" brownies to bring in and feed everyone. I know they will get eaten but I'm wondering if I can get in any legal trouble for this since there will be no evidence left. Anybody know the laws on feeding people special brownies?

My sister recently ran into the back of someone's truck. Usually it would definitely be her fault, but it seems kind of different so I just wanted to see if we have a case. The road that she took was covered in fog and smoke that morning (there was a forest fire the previous day). The man she ran into was parked in the road on the highway talking to someone else on the side of the road (I guess he figured no one would be driving). After my sister hit him, some people who saw it say that they told the man to move his car out of the road because they heard a car coming. Anyways, they're saying it's my sister's fault and it has that she was "following too close". But if the people who saw the accident says that the man was parked in the road, does she have any kind of defense? Thanks
