I am talking about responsible use, if some of you can comprehend such a thing.

Bartman, yes I said RESPONSIBLE USE, and that would mean NOT operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, same as with alcohol.

Like small amounts in your possession? Low priority.

A couple hundred LB-ows in the back, high priority.

I partake, quite habitually, but its only in the confines of my home or at a friends house and never while driving. Its not worth the risk and I treat it like Alcohol, I wont drive 'under the influence" unless I have to (medical emergency or something of that nature) and I don't see the need in risking the safety of those around me wiht my personal choice.

Citicop is right though, in many cities its up to the officer to arrest you or give you a ticket depending on the amount you have. Even though I partake, I know its illegal before hand and its on me if I get busted. Its not a police officer's fault that I made a decision to knowingly break the law, they are just doing their job.

I am a little different when it comes to drugs, but thats because i believe in responsible use of just abotu anything. IF people were more responsible with their activities, such as marijuana, there wouldn't be laws against it. There was a need to illegalize before it was illegalized. (yes, I have seen the Woody Harrelson narrated 'documentary' on marijuana prohibition).

In the city I live in marijuana offenses on private property are now the lowest law enforcement priority by law. The voters passed and initiative.

If our government would get smart, it would be a non-enforcement priority.

Why pursue pot growers/users, when there are terrorists, gang bangers, and murderers on the loose?

The police need to get their priorities straight, as does the justice department, and local DA's.

Actually he never said anything about selling to anyone, period. If a cop really wants to give you a citation for personal pot, thats his business. Its not really worth the paperwork.

Distribution would be worth it.

Depends on the officer, ever heard of "officer discretion"? Personaly an adult in his/her own home I couldn't care less. But sell to a kid and I'll place you under the cell.

It's against the law.

If I locate someone in possession, they go to jail.

It's not murder, but it's not a parking ticket either.

Lower than murder and whatnot

RESPONSIBLE USE....????

That's the most ignorant thing I've ever heard...

What about 'responsible' drunk drivers....

or 'responsible' armed robbers.
