Of course Mongols, they had best calvary, used composite bows which is bitter then English long bow, they are the first to use gun powder armor vest made up of silk and boiled leather which can't penetrate by arrow, Mongol army are teach to use both hand to fire arrow on the move controlling horse only with feet, every men had two horses for high mobility, etc...
Then, they never loose a battle, if Genghis khan lived for few years, all Europe may lay under his foot.

The specific group that sacked Rome would win; most goths tribes would have lost though. The leader had been a general in the Roman military with both Roman and native Goth troops under his command on the northern border and a large number of the Goths who sacked Rome were Roman trained veterans having been part of the Roman military prior to Rome reneging on treaties, promised Roman citizenship and letting them have/keep and as promised. This is why the Romans could not stop them and many of the other mixed native/Roman units left them alone. The Mongol mobility did not do well against disciplined troops who kept formation and fought together. In those Goths they would have met the best of Roman disciplined forces combined with the Teutonic love of warfare combined. If the Romans had kept the promises instead of saving money for more circuses who knows what would have happened; Rome did not fall to barbarians as most think-they feel to well trained and disciplined Roman units which had been barbarians in the past but were loyal Roman legions until betrayed by Rome.

Mongols great mobility and a ruthless leader. not to mention for superior war far technology i.e. The composite bow and the ability to shoot and ride at the same time. THe goths were using primarily human wave attacks and with there shear size and numbers easily beat down the smaller army of the romans not to mention the average roman stood 5'4 while the goths were about our size today.

the goths moving into rome were actually being pushed on the wake of the Huns.. since Huns were the precedessors of Mongolic tribes and they were more or less unopposed during their raids, most probably the Mongols would manage the same. they will push the goths out of the way.
