Hey, I just have a question for you guys. I don't mean any disrespect but I am just curious as to what is going through your head when you are ordered to spray tear gas and use tasers etc. during protests and demonstrations. Do you have a hard time going through with it? Do you ever feel like you need to talk to someone about it? Would you refuse to use if a relative or close person such as a son, nephew or child's friend were to be in the crowd. Thanks for your answers. I have a psychology paper that I need to writte and you answers would help.

No, I don't feel bad about it.

I would love to hear the ideas you have about controlling a large crowd based on your vast experience.

Public safety is like bacon. Everybody likes it, but if you have a delicate stomach, you may not want to watch it being made.

If I were a cop, I wouldn't have a problem with it no matter who's in the crowd. If you're talking about New Orleans, look at it this way--those people were complaining that a slum was being torn down. A slum invites crime, poverty gives rise to crime. The city was entirely within its right to eliminate any place that is used by the poor as a gathering place, and further pepper spraying incidents are kept to a minimum, saving the city money and legal fees, and saving the poor from feeling that people don't want them around. It's a win/win.

Cops have no conscience unless it involves their family or friends. We poor little people don't matter to the big bad cops.
