I too love jeans and jazz and Treasure Island and John Silver’s parrot and the balconies of New Orleans. I love Mark Twain. I love the fields of wheat and corn and the smell of Virginia tobacco. But I am not American.

Is that enough for the Phantom pilot to turn me back to the Stone Age? I need neither oil nor America herself, neither the elephant nor the donkey.

i took something out of a rubbish skip that i considered to be rubbish as it was in a big yellow rubbish skip next thing i know i'm being handcuffed and thrown in a cell after 14 hours in a cell they release me with n.f.a (no further action) when i get home my door is open luckily my dog is still here and they have taken loads of my personal property i thought the police were ok untill this happened

Recently a Texas man shot two illegal criminal aliens robbing a neighbor's house. The Family's house he was protecting were themselves LEGAL immigrants so there is clearly no racial motive. Even the Black Panthers have not claimed in their protests any racial motives.

Also the Police now say that the man who fired was also confronted on his own property as well.

The question is really do you think that the rest of the nation should follow Texas' lead in this area or should the rest of the Nation condemn Texas Law?

All of the new Political Correctness is very rapidly eroding freedom. As far as I know it a law has not yet been passed that requires one to like all people and embrace all lifestyles etc. What has been "engineered" is the palatable fear of expressing ones views/convictions. Because I am an upper-middle class professional male my views are suspect. Because I do not associate with gays or minorities I am viewed as a bigot. Because I support Conservative causes I am labeled an uneducated Nazi! I am university educated by the way. Well, if I recall correctly, one of the cornerstones of a developed democracy is that even unpopular views must be protected. My paring shot is that I believe that the liberals, the nerds and the misfits have taken over!

I see the term "anti-Semitic" every time someone disagrees with Israel's foreign policy. That makes as much sense as calling people "anti-Christian" for speaking out against US foreign policy.

I saw that damn movie "Judge Dread" a few years back and one scene that made me really mad and upset because I thought it was so wrong and unfair was that scene when this idiot guy had his car in a no-parking zone and it was a nice-looking car and even though he was being stupid giving the female cop a hard-time, Judge Dread then comes along with blows his car up with his grenade launcher gun.


I thought that was so wrong on so many levels. Sure, the guy was being a d#ck and he was being an idiot, but he did not deserve that.


I know it was just a movie, but after seeing that unfair scene, would could he have done? What were his rights?
