i pleaded guilty at magistrates and have been sentenced for deception for selling counterfeit goods, should i appeal due to the harsh sentence that i was given which was 200hrs community order and £1500 fine. It was my 1st offence, i was very co-operating, gave mitigation circumstances, i represented myself and believe the sentence was very harsh, even the probation officer said it was very harsh!, do you think the above is fair? is it worth appealing or not?

also now that i have been convicted i am assuming i shall have a criminal record, how and what information is this logged against? - as all that was given to the magistrates is my address and date of birth do they not need my NI no? i did not give this as i did not have it to hand

Mexico’s foremost expert on immigration is calling on Mexicans to do whatever they can to stop Republicans from winning the White House next year, including a boycott of companies that donate to Republican candidates.

Jorge Bustamante, the United Nations’ Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants and a sociology professor at the University of Notre Dame, this week called Republican Party policies on immigration “immoral.” Writing in the Mexico City daily Reforma, Bustamante said the Republican candidates share a in immigration stance that “lacks even the most minimum recognition of the demand for the Mexican migrant labor.”

He called on Mexicans to harness “the real power we have as consumers” to boycott big companies that do business in Mexico and fund Republican candidacies. Bustamante didn’t name any particular companies, but said “that is public information available to anyone with basic understanding of how to navigate the Internet.” http://www.statesman.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/austin/mexico/entries/2007/12/14/mexico_boycott_over_republican.html

I'm a US citizen (currently living in the US) and I'm petitioning for both of my parents (who live in Ecuador). The interview will take place in the US Consulate in Ecuador. Can someone tell me if I have to go there for the interview, as well. Or do they just need to have a copy of all the paperwork I already submitted for them?

Mainstream Dem supporter, Des Moines Register, excluded Kusinich from latest debate because he didn't have a "viable presence in the State." Or was it because he went against mainstream Democratic Speaker Pelosi's promise of no impeachment hearings? Is Speaker Pelosi being blackmailed by the White House spy network?

I just saw an answer that suggested all of the American Liberals go to Canada (since they seem to brag about how great Canada is) and the Canadian Conservatives come down to the US. Why not, sounds like a great idea!

I do! I am sick of my taxes supporting generations of feckless lay abouts. Some would come crying "What about the young, old and sick"? Well my retort is let charitable societies take care of them. Allow government to do what it was supposed to and that it protect property and preserve law and order. Bring back the workhouse, poor house and debtors prison and free the taxpayer of supporting the "new leisure class."

I am a realitor, I had a job for 15 years, the company went under. I recieved my realitor licence last year. I have never sold a property yet. I went on unemployment because I cannot pay my bills and could not find a job during the holidays. I have seen temporary employment during the holiday, but it will not cover my expenses. I was working for the same company for 15 years. I cannot find another job that will pay me the same.

My question is; Is it fraud if I collect unemployment while I am a realitor, untill I sell a property to get back on my feet?

Lately I have resorted to mental arguements with myself because others are too stupid to make valid points. I do live in Canada, so I brushed it off as other people since everyone here is liberal and can't actually argue with facts, just pointless statements and quotes from others, leading to accusations.

Would I be cured if i moved to the USA where there would be less liberals, although still some.

Don't tell me I need meds and that it's not the hippies because I'm not some depressed self hater. I hate you not me.

Are there any jobs in the military that don't require training like they do for the infantry and don't require moving around frequently?

I'm thinking about the army as a job but I want to be able to be in a regular career where I can still live at home with my children. I was thinking maybe being a cook in the army like my uncle was.

Israel wants the USA to destroy any country in the Middle East that it deems to be a threat. So far we have done this (For Israel and for our Oil conglomerates) at the cost of our own security and physical and economic and there still is no peace for Israel. Wouldn't it be better if the we (USA) stopped pandering to Israeli fear and told her to work harder at making friends and less hard at making enemies?
