First of all you were trespassing. It doesn't make any difference if it was garbage or anything else. No further action was taken because the owner of the property did not sign complaints. I don't know what your open door has to do with anything. If you feel a crime has been committed, call the Police.

I thought Hun that it wasn't a crime to remove something from a skip, especially as it gets tipped anyway, BUT maybe it is a crime in certain countries, so sorry you had a while in the cells babes.

Did the cops give you anything to drink, something to eat n your 1 phone call lol

As for the cops entering your house, taking stuff and leaving the door open, I would NOT be happy with that, you need to look into that one further hun....GOOD LUCK X

Why do you keep saying "skip"? I'm sure the police had a legitimate reason to arrest you. They are not walking around bored looking for someone to lock up.

Honestly if you took something that you shouldn't have taken and Police had proof of it then they did have the right to arrest you.

Your question is a bit vague, but if they had probable cause, they had the right to arrest you.

Welcome to the real world. I never thought the police were ok. After all, they are just imperfect humans, and many are corrupt and no good.

Open your eyes. You CANNOT trust anyone.
