Ive been on here about a week already and i find it to be a fascinating forum to discuss ideas and educate myself on many issues. However i cannot ever recall a time when i have seen so much name calling and ranting and raving by both sides of the "political" spectrum. There was a time in this country when both DEMs and REPs could put aside their innate differences and work together in the best interest of Americans and the USA. Dont you think its time we all started doing the same?

My car was parked in front of a friend's house when
his neighbors's daughter backed into my car leaving a dent
on the door.

Since it was late at night, she left a note on my car with her Tag # and make/model of her car and cell #. I called her cell and she agreed to pay for damages.

When I called her a few days later with the estimate, $1600, suddenly she refused to pay and igored my calls from that point on.

I finally filed a police report today, and the Police said her insurance co. is statefarm but they didn't give me a policy #. I do not have the police report yet.

Can the county police look up her policy # using her tag #?

I called statefarm and they said without the policy #, they cannot go through with a claim. I do not want to cliam this through my insurance.

The apartment complex I used to live at sent me a statement in August saying how much my refund would be from my deposit that I paid when I moved in. Then I got a check in the mail in September that was more than what they stated in the statement. I thought they included my pet deposit in the check, which was not included in the statement. They called me last week and said that they made a mistake in accounting and paid me too much. I told them I had paid the pet deposit and I have to prove that I paid it, but even with that proof, they said they said they still paid me too much. They want that extra money back and if I don't pay it in 10 business days they will "take other actions." Since the check was made out to me and it wasn't my fault, can the apartment complex really do anything?

I have gotten myself into a big mess and I am trying to work this out in a reputable way. My husband purchased his home 10 years ago. We married 4 years ago. Am I considered an owner of the home? ok so , my fiancee got locked up cause he didnt pay a fine on his probation that wasnt due untill jan 23..his p.o said he was gonna talk to the judge into renstating his probation so he can come hom on hiw court date which is this tuesday..and hes passed all his drug tests.. and has a clean record & everyone that is in ther with him keeps tellin him hes gonna get to come home.. what do yall thank?

They tax just as much as democrats. they live on credit. they wallow in debt. they believe that they get something for nothing. they love getting their free money from social security (which they drain far more from than they ever paid in). on police videos, its a BIG deal when a suspect crosses three lanes of oncoming traffic, but then nothing is said when the police do the same!

or when the suspect drives through someones backyard, the narrator says nothing about the cop driving through the same yard!


OR when the suspect nearly hits a pedestrian, STILL! nothing said about the cop coming withing inches of the same pedestrian......

those cop videos are so bias!!

dont you think thats funny? i do, cops NEVER do bad things like the suspects they pursuit......right.

I work at a privately owned Valero gas station. Our boss says that he takes the amount of a fuel drive-off out of our paychecks....... but he also claims taxes or something on it at the end of the year. The pumps say "prepay first" but we usually turn the pump on if there's only a few people in the parking lot, or if it's a regular customer.

My question is: can our boss legally hold us responsible for the drive-off, and legally take the total out of our check, even if he claims whatever it is he claims at the end of the year?

I was at school 2 1/2 weeks ago and I was hanging out with my friend talking about a wooden car that he made in shop class when this kid comes up with a glass piece about 3"-4" tall and he
tried to stab my friend but he ran ans came to me and placed it on my throat than-the kid with the glass- left and we toled our dean...Blah Blah Blah he got 10 days of suspension but yesterday I got called by the dean to report to the main office to talk to a Police Officer and asked me again what happened and she said that the boy who threatened my friend and I was going to get charges for criminal assault and today after school
my mom toled me that the cops came and toled her that I had to report to court and so did my friend......

So my question is What is a "criminal assault" and what do I do in court....AM I IN TROUBLE!!!!!
