Disagree with opening statement. You mistakenly equate today's neo-con led Repub party to being conservative.

Reagan and Bush 2 have created record deficits, and record super-sized government. They somehow believe that to borrow and spend is better than to tax and spend. History dictates that a balanced budget leads to a strong US dollar which is good for ALL Americans versus the greedy few.

Neither Dems nor Repubs are perfect. That being said, due to Bush's follies, it is time for a change in direction.

European conservatives are quite different than the brand we have here. They believe in being conservative with money, not like ours of late and their government works for the people not corporations. They also like for all people to be educated and will pay for it, as well as healthcare and they do this willingly because they realize it makes a country stronger. After all they are spending the citizens money.

Um... Have you actually looked at the two parties lately?

Republicans here have blown away Democrats in spending, Federal Powers, Overall size of government, and the diminishment of States Rights and Individual Liberties.

The Democrats are the closest thing we have in this country to Conservative Leaders. Hell, even you are looking at France as your last great hope- how sad is that?

I think Republicans are the poor souls within the "Blind Foolery" you speak of........ By the way....Notice how Tony Blair just left, and it wasn't because he was sick of his job....And yes, France did vote in a conservative, but he isn't conservative like Bush is....European conservatory is much much different than what we perceive it to be. And anyway Europe is overwhelmingly more liberal than our poor Bush and Chaney brain washed country is...... its most defiantly time for change.....

A european conservative has about as much to do with an american conservative as my left foot and Haley's comet. It's just a misunderstanding of terms. The word "conservative" means very different things in european politics and american.

After that error, your question descends into nonsense and bias, so I'll ignore it.

"Charismatic divine heroes like Obama" What are you some variety of McCain plant or something ? that's precise out of his classified ads. not all and sundry helping Obama is confident he's the 2nd coming of Christ. some human beings have examine his rules and McCain's and made an counseled selection based on the topic concerns. Crap like that's merely fodder for those attempting to label all and sundry helping Obama as "Kool-help Drinkers". that's embarrassing.

While I don't agree totally with any political ideology, I find it hard to believe that liberals could do much worse than the neoconservatives have over the last six years. please don't confuse the jackass in the White House with a conservative.
