well, the same thing happen to a friend of mine , the fines are a monthly charge the would have only arrested him if he was a few months behind, what they more than likely do is to try and get him to pay the back fines now and if he can not They will extend his probation to make up the difference.

Since he violated his probation and his PO is requesting that he be released and put back on probation he has a very good chance but ultimately it will be up to the judge.
