I'm not sure where you got your information, but I have voted republican for 20 years and I don't fit any of those GENERALIZATIONS you just made. I save as much as I can. I don't use credit cards and the only debt I have is my daughter's college tuition. I am retiring in a year and will not receive Social Security because of the government offset pension laws. My spouse won't receive Social Security either, even though we have both paid in for years. Nor will she receive a death benefit when I'm gone. As far as pollution goes, we contribute no more, if not less, than our neighbors. Hmmm....guess I'm still a conservative after all.

no not right. the spending is to clean up the mess with al qaeda clinton left. taxation is by a democratically controlled congress GENIUS, wallowing in debt is as a direct result of the larges tax increase in us history from the clintons, social security was initially proposed by the democrats and i have no idea what on and on is as your elaboration is obviously skewed. you should have someone proofread your postings here so you can get your facts right and avoid this diatribe.

This isn't an "anymore" thing. You can trace the philosophy of having a large military, over spending, debt, distrust of the American citizen, and government opposition to natural social change WAY back.
Conservatives think that conservatism means welfare for corporations, no welfare for the individual, and for the middle class to pay for it.
I would humbly suggest that the point in the question made about debt is not about your credit card, and that when he says Republicans aren't conservative, he's not talking about individual voters' opinions of what conservatism is so much as what they VOTE for.

Actually Republicans traditionally spend more than Democrats.
Political conservatism carries no such connotation meaning that they are fiscally conservative.
They will call themselves conservative as long as it wins votes.
All of your complaints are valid for the Democrats as well.
Regardless of which is in control with Democrats and Republicans we always get increased spending, increased debt, less personal and financial freedom, and rotten foreign policy.

I'm not taking any sides in this argument, other than to say that there is flaws in both political parties. I'm sure that a republican could come up with just as many things about democrats.

Republicans, like Democrats and any other politically identifiable form of people, are always going to be people. Therefore, they're going to do all the things you listed.

Wrong.
Many Republicans are still conservatives. Not all have embraced the liberal policies of The PNAC, not all support "borrow and spend- big Government".

No, I still take a conservative interpretation of the Constitution, and that's what Conservative means, so I am still a conservative.
(In other words, the Constitution means what it says, and no more. Abortion should be a state issue. No gun control against law-abiding citizens. No handouts for no-citizens, etc.)

You're such an idiot. I'm republican and I have $0 balance on my credit cards, my only debt is my auto loan. How do you figure we think we get something for nothing? I work for my money! I don't sit at home making babies I can't afford and collect welfare like the liberals do.
Get your facts correct before you spout off crap like this so-called question.
