You would think that someone hiding from the law would try and go unnoticed, and yet so many of them blast their car stereo at earthquake volumes at all hours of the night? Do you think that shows how stupid our immigration enforcement is in the US?

I was just wondering whether anyone thinks whatever progress we've made in Iraq is worth the number of American Soldiers who have been killed or injured.

Also, if we end up "winning" the war*, is the victory worth the price paid?

*whatever winning might mean

After all these years, why is Bush so happy to allow Bin Laden to roam free... while Al Qaeda becomes more powerful than ever before?

About a month ago I posted a question pretty much asking if the security at our high school has the right to verbally and physically abuse us whether or not we had done anything wrong because usually it didn't matter because they would still act abusive towards us. So anyway recently a friend of mine who never starts any trouble asks me If I want to go to the principals office to talk to the principal about security i turned it down because I knew we didn't have anything to back it up yet. So she goes by herself and tells the principal about a specific incident she witnessed and the principal replies "well the security guards have a hard time swithing between good kids and common thugs ". I feel that she i saying that all of us should be treated like "thugs" and i find that disrespectful because I am not a thug I have a 4.00 gpa. I mean maybe that's just me what do you all think of her comment. Does that justify security being abusive.

Hillary and the rest of her Democrat followers feel as though the American government should be responsible for providing healthcare to Americans (and illegal immigrants in America). My question is this… How many people agree with her? Keep in mind that nothing is free. If the government takes on the payment of healthcare it is not Hillary that will pay for it but the average American! The rich have ways to avoid paying taxes; the poor don’t make enough money to pay a lot of taxes (if any). That means the middle class American will suffer! We could expect at least a 30% increase in taxes with Hillary’s plan. The middle class American, the group the Dems claim to be concerned about, will be hurt.
Now if healthcare is provided by the government there will be people who will not qualify for free healthcare. People who smoke, drink, eat unhealthy foods… this will be a never ending list of people who cannot get healthcare yet are forced to pay for it.

There are a lot more reasons why

I got a ticket when I was out of my home state. I had my case heard in court, and my fine was reduced. By the time I received the payment notice/letter, it was only 2 days left till the payment due date. There was no way of paying using a credit card, so by the time my payment was received by the court, they had already issued an arrest warrant.

I then got a notice saying they received the payment, and that the arrest warrant has been nulled. However, will it still show up in my background check as that I had an arrest warrant issued on my name once (say when I apply for a job?)?

Most of the money created in our society is just thin air. It's not even printed or minted. It's just an abstraction floated against nothing but faith. Does this not seem rather frightening?

between living in a country that upholds the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution...with the risk of terrorist attacks...

---------OR--------

living in a country where citizens and their rights were diminished and violated in order to gain increased protections from terrorist attacks?

which would you chose and why? remember, in the US, very few people have been directly affected by terrorist attacks OR anti-Constitutional measures passed by our own government. but the threat of both is a real one.

I left my iPod at my gym last week. Now in my local Craigslist I found someone posting ads for an iPod matching mine's description being sold without headphones or the usb cable (which someone who found it wouldn't have either).

I have e-mailed them asking if the iPod has any music loaded onto it, and if it does, and it turns out to be MY iPod, what should I/can I do?

My son thinks he's a gangsta. He's 17 and he basically thinks he doesn't have to obey law. He fought the law, and the law won.

He was caught shoplifting and was to pay a $400 fine. He didn't get a job until a month ago (even though he's known he had to pay the fine for 3 months) and says he isn't going to pay the fine. The money is due on the 20th of November, and I refuse to bail him out on this.

Assuming they issue a bench warrant for him, how long will it be before they pick him up?

How long will he spend in juve?

Will they give him an extension if he asks for one?

Will they come and arrest me instead?

Any help in knowing what to expect would be appreciated.

They are for taking away my ability to choose guns, medical care, education for my children, what to do with my money, etc. It seems that the liberals want to remove my freedom, not protect it. Am I wrong?
