We need a party that would work toward driving out every vestige of socialism from America, eliminating all lobbyists and PACs, replacing campaigning for public office by incumbants with a government printed summary of each official's voting record, making lying by any public official a prison offense, and gradual elimination of all government services except military and police services. Health Insurance for profit should be eliminated, but catastrophic health insurance would be available. When those things have been accomplished by the new party once they gain the majority in Congress then we can work on some other problems. I would call it the American Party and would support it with my vote, but not my money. I know that there will be a grass roots movement to try to convince me to run for office, however I will refuse. I have already served my country for many years.

we shouldn't have just a *third* political party, we should have a multitude of them instead of two huge ones that, because they stand for *everything*, they stand for *nothing*.
our two parties are really not that much better than, let's say, the Chinese Communist Party. the Dems and the Reps are two sides of the same coin. they repress people with Common Sense, like Ron Paul.
it'd be more interesting if we had an African-American Party, or a Catholic Party, a Jewish Party, an Asian Party, a Separatist Party, etc., etc...

The people have allowed themselves to be divided down the middle. Half liberals and half conservatives. This was done by the republicans and democrats to protect themselves and ensure only they get elected. No third party will take enough votes to win. We the people are forced now to vote against the other guy for fear he will win. That way we don't dare vote for any independent. Pretty smart plan and it is working great. The democrats and republicans share power and reap the rewards of office. And America goes to heck in a hand basket.

The Indecisive Party. For those that refuse to base decisions on their conscience, or refuse to believe that right and wrong decisions can be made. For those who believe that all can be solved through a hug and do not want to be labored with making the tough decisions.
Third parties only draw votes from a leading candidates and have little or no chance of election. Seen all the time in local government elections and is most frustrating.

There will never be a way to have our taxes lowered, unless you are rich so I'd like to see the money used for people who are paying it, making our lives better with education, health care and helping the less fortunate, call it the Humanitarian party. Many churches prefer to spend their money overseas or in Mexico because they don't think Americans are deserving enough.

We don't need another party as a two party system is enough. No, I would not as a third party detracts from the issues. Look at the money spent now. We really cannot afford another huge party.
