I need websites for current (news) political issues. College paper: 10 topics with their views, and then my views. I don't have a problem writing the paper, but difficulty finding a decent website so I don't have to go all over the web... and I need current news articles; I keep finding older ones... HELP?!!

You know, that guy who brutally murders his family, a group of fast food employees during a botched robbery, or tortures a family before murdering them probably shouldn't have taxpayers pay for their housing and food. What's the sense in keeping these people alive for life, with free healthcare and everything? They're certainly never going to be reformed.

Why aren't these people just executed?

As far as I can remember, it used to be a legal requirement for petrol stations to allow bona fide travellers use of toilet facilities...I had to stop at one today and ask to use the toilet, but I was refused access. They had no public facilities and would not let me use the staff one on Health and Safety grounds. Since I'd been driving quite a while and was in an area I was unfamiliar with, it left me in a very difficult situation. Fortunately I found a pub quite close by (and just in time!), but this was just luck. Surely this situation cannot be acceptable?
Does anyone know if I have grounds for complaint or am I just being fussy?

Democratic?

"Phelps has run in various Kansas Democratic Party primaries five times, but has never won. These included races for governor in 1990, 1994, and 1998, receiving about 15% of the vote in 1998. In the 1992 Democratic Party primary for U.S. Senate, Phelps received 31% of the vote Phelps ran for mayor of Topeka in 1993 and 1997."

If not, do you think we are wasting our time in Iraq and we should focus on a more important issues.
Note: This question is not an opinion. However, I am seeking opinions. Thanks!

I had to repost this question because some right winger wo didn't want this question asked reported it the last time I did.

I changed "whine" to "gripe" for the sake of tender sensibilities, but they can delete it again if they choose, all it will do is prove once again who they are - dishonest, repressive, liars

This is repost #1

PLEASE STAR THIS QUESTION.

A STAR IS EVIDENCE OF A QUESTIONS VALIDITY TO YAHOO AND WILL PROVE YOU ARE AGAINST THIS KIND OF CENSORSHIP

I can repost it as many times as they delete it.

This past week it has been a lot noisier than usual from the neighbor who is below me (I live in an apartment). The TV has been on loud and I've heard lots of banging noises. For the past few days I have heard a child crying constantly... then I hear an adult woman screaming. I have already called the leasing office and they said they would take care of it. At first I thought the child was locked in alone or something but then i began hearing an adult voice yelling.
When I have seen the child outside playing, she is pretty little and pretty rambunctious... she may be a handful, but the noises really bother and scare me.
After I called the office I was vacuuming and they started banging on the ceiling to tell me to stop... I am wondering if they suspect it was me who called the office. What do I do, do I call the office again? Should I call the police? How do I deal with their wrath?

Good God, I can't believe we are now debating if it's OKAY to torture prisoners. I'm a conservative republican and I am 100% outraged. I grew up in a country that told us to be proud of the fact we don't torture other human beings as other countries do!.

I just saw a demostration of "waterboarding"..if you think this is okay in your judgement...you are one sick person!!

YES, our enemies are horrible, terrible brutal murder's...but we have to be better than them...why would we lower our standards so much.

What are your thoughts?
