I was told that photos proving my innocence will not even be looked at without paying for my parking ticket first. I've read several forums and what not saying to not pay the ticket and to just write them a letter with the photos showing I was legally parked.

Is it pointless to send them the letter/photos w/o paying the fine first? Will they really not even look at my proof/letter if I haven't paid the fine yet? BTW this is in Los Angeles.

The relevant European directive specifically states that expulsions should not be targeted at any ethic group.

What happened last night was that I was walking out of the train station to walk the 2 blocks to my home. I noticed about 3 guys standing on the corner. I got a phone call and was talking on the phone down the block. I heard someone say "let's get his phone" and the 3 guys charged after me. They knocked me down causing the phone to fly out of my hand and one guy was holding me to the ground. I keep a small pocket knife in my pocket which came HANDY in this sitaution as I was able to reach in my pocket with my arm, take out the knife, and I swung it at the guy's arm. I scraped his arm with the knife and he shouts "the guy's got a knife!". When he let go of me I swung at him with the knife across the face and he fell to the ground. They dropped my phone and ran off. i walked away with the knife and phone and left the guy on the sidewalk.

I said NOTHING. Didn't report anything in. Am I REQUIRED to or is it best to lay low and never mention it? I defended myself justly.

It happened in Argentina last week where the 2 presidential candidates who finished first and second were both women and between them they got 70% of the general vote. I can´t think of another example in a democratic PRESIDENTIAL election where women were voted so massively because usually when a country elects a woman for president, the candidate who finishes second is always a man.

Do you know of any examples where this hasn't been the case? Thank you for your answers.

My car was improperly towed. I took the towing company to court and won the case by default. Next they appealed the ruling, and I won by default again. The company has been dragging this out as long as possible. Now it is time to collect the towing fees and court fees from them that they owe me. I have all the papers that state how much they owe me, and that I have won the case. Do you know how I can collect? Please help - this has been going on for over 4 months! Thank you

1 Talk show icon David Letterman thinks so and he brought out many examples while speaking to Dr. Phil in his latest Late Show with David Letterman!
2 A candidate in the forthcoming presidential polls thinks the incumbent President George Bush is mentally ill for casually mentioning the possibility of third world war by saying ‘I have told people that if you are interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing (Iran) from having the knowledge to make a nuclear weapon’!
3 The Idaho senator pleading guilty first for his misbehavior in a public toilet and then withdrawing his plea but one wonders if common sense prevails in the American judicial system which thought itfit to accept it!
4 With frequent campus shooting incidents, places of education appear to be fast becoming unsafe for learning but turning into breeding grounds of terrorism!

I would think you should know it, and if you did you'd have that job and not be complaining about illegal immigrants.

Just because people tune into a show to watch it for its entertainment value does not mean they support what comes out of the hosts mouth .

If you look at his polls you can see clearly that many of his viewers do not agree with him .

So while many people may tune into Bill they tune in to laugh at him and not with him .

One thing about the movie that realy bothered me besides all the senseless, ruthless killing by those jewel thieves was the beginning when he got discharged..

In the movie as you saw it at the beginning, he let his team know he was gonna make the save before those POWs got killed. If he didn't make the save, they would've got killed. What he did is "save their lives" instead of waiting for that team which would've come too late. He didn't deserve to get discharged for that. And what about being denied an "appeal" when he was getting his discharge? That was an unfair injustice, what happened to him. He deserved an appeal, and if he if didn't intervene the way he did, he wouldn't have saved their lives.

What would have happened in this scenerio in real life?
There would have a been a good defense on his part, right?

(One more thing, I think all guys should get laid before going off to war and dying instead of dying as virgins...)

Last December my car was towed away from my apartment complex. (My tags were stolen and apparently it was routine for the towing company to remove illegal cars from the complex parking lot.) The thing is, when I called the towing company, they had no record of ever towing my car. I called all the city impounds and my car wasn't there either. So I called the police and my car was never reported as being towed or impounded. So then I tried to report my car stolen to the police and they said that it was a civil case and that I had to sue the apartment complex. I need some legal advice!!! Has this ever happened to anyone else????

They literally tell kids at my school, 'OH YOU WON'T BE SENT TO IRAQ', but last year the few who did sign up were in Iraq within 3 months. Such Liars. So much for integrity of the military. So much for the best and brightest. Such liars.

I am NOT looking for propaganda, slurs, insults or other childish crap. (Although experience indicates I'll get it.)

Alright illegal immigration seems to be a huge topic. To some people, far more important than education, health care, potential energy problems...just to name a few. To me its the least of the issues I would like to see addressed right away.

I'm wondering as to what others think about this issue as well as the others.
