The whole Iraqi venture is a disgrace but it’s not the military’s fault. What the military has to say about helping is irrelevant to the death and destruction and basic political problems that have been caused so unnecessarily in Iraq and in the region.
We need to seriously evaluate the entire enterprise in order to determine how we can extricate ourselves from this mess. We will leave a disaster behind but what is done is done and the Iraqis will have to find a way to resolve the many difficult issues that they are facing in their country.

Over a million Iraqis have died since when? Don't even try to say since the US invasion. Talk about a huge load of steaming feces. The insurgents are killing their own people faster than any military action by the US and others. Have you even been to Iraq or are you just believing what the liberal media is feeding you? I spent 2 tours in Iraq and interacted with Iraqis on a daily basis. The majority of them are happy that we are there, but you'll never hear that from the liberal, defeatist media. Your lie about 60,000 Iraqis fleeing Iraq each month is just that, a huge, factless lie! It is you who needs to wake up!!! by the way, we've done a hell of a lot more than just build a few schools. I'm going back to Iraq for a 3rd tour in 6 months, wanna come along and see how wrong you are?

Now the Iraqi nation has police that can be counted on to protect (although granted, they're still corrupt as hell), instead of worrying if they will be randomly taken to a torture center by Saddams government. Before the Iraqi people had to watch out for their neighbors, not the Iraqi people can identify the threat.
There are too many people following zealous clerics which make up a small minority of Muslim clerics.
You want to talk about bombing? The insurgents are the ones destroying the infrastructure! The insurgents are the ones killing everyone (men, women, children), torturing people based on their beliefs.
Where are you from anyway? Do you think you'd be able to survive in ANY other country in the world?

people like you make me so mad!you are so very ignorant. But you cant help it, your a product of the media. The iraqi's are "fleeing" to get away from the destrction that their own people have caused, not America. you need to wake up!! If your so ashamed of your country, why not leave. Go to Iraq, see who the real threat is to the civilians..their own people or the troops. These people, will do anything(as we learned through 9/11) for their Allah. Their religion is nothing but hate and lies...oh, and their country has always been a mess becuase they are lunatics. I'm not sure if there is any help for them. Great Question. Which is why the whole ,'WE CAN'T LEAVE OR THEY WILL HAVE A CIVIL WAR' argument is total BS. Already a million have died (way more than our civil war), and millions of refugees trying to get out. The entire country which used to be fairly secular has now been divided into religious factions. Complete mess.

UN has it at less than 80 thousand and a web site "iraq body count" has it at less than 85 thousand. you should source your info from more than one source and confirm with others before such a false statement is made. 1 is to many but your number is way too many.

You are just another of those I hate America whiners that permeates the liberal mentality. Just for your education millions of German citizens died during WW2 so eventually they could all be free. Just like with cancer treatment sometimes you have radiate and almost destroy the body in order to make it healthy again. Please let us know "O" wise one what your solution would have been.

Most of those people were killed by Terrorists, suicide bombers and militants. Yes the US killed a few civilian but not on purpose. Don't forget the 4000 US people that have been killed and the 25,000+ that have been wounded. Ever ask you self this: How many people did Saddam kill? and Don't the Iraqis have more freedom to do whatever they want now?
