Just because people tune into a show to watch it for its entertainment value does not mean they support what comes out of the hosts mouth .

If you look at his polls you can see clearly that many of his viewers do not agree with him .

So while many people may tune into Bill they tune in to laugh at him and not with him .

I watch it sometimes just to see how desperate the far right has become.

Yes,the laughs are AT him, not with him.

I see you saw my question.

Yes. Simply put.

If you only tune in to laugh then you are supporting his humor. If you are tuning in you are upping his ratings. The higher his ratings are, the more support he has. Especially when he is fair and balanced, and he stops the spin. Keep tuning in and laughing, maybe someday you will actually learn a thing or two instead of just being the popinjay that you are.

No, you can watch the show for laughs without supporting him. Even if you watch the show for informational purposes, that doesn't mean you have to agree with all his points. In fact, hearing the arguments of someone with whom you disagree is beneficial also, as you are able to mentally agrue with his points and strengthen your own position and beliefs. As long as you are informed, you can believe whatever you want. There isn't always one right answer.

What a great question! I used to get pissed off when I would watch this guy, but my dad told me that he doesn't even believe half of what hes saying, and its all just entertainment. I guess I used to take him seriously...To answer your question, it doesn't make you a supporter of him per Se, but you're giving him ratings....and also- you know what they say about "garbage in, garbage out" !

I used to watch him religiously. I told many of my friends about his show. He even read one of my emails on the show. I don't watch his show anymore though. I believed in his "Independence". Then suddenly, he started sounding more and more like Rush Limbaugh when it came to politics. His guests were more and more insulting (Ann Coulter). So i finally got fed up and have tuned him out ever since.

ratings are ratings, do you think advertisers care if viewers agree with him or not? No they don't, but they'll continue to hand him $$$ because people will hear their ads.

Come to think about it, do you think Orielly cares if you agree with him or not, as long as advertisers continue to hand him the $$$ for you hearing their ads?

No. I watch Daily Show and Colbert Report because they are hilarious, but i'm not a liberal type at all. I don't agree with their politics, but they are still funny.

I find myself laughing all the time too when I watch his show.
I laugh the hardest when he has those idiot liberals on defending child rapists and criminal abortionist. A laugh riot.

It does in a way. I'm sure he is laughing just as hard if people who sit and just laugh at him are responsible for his domination of cable news..........

I do not even tune into it... it is not funny and it certainly is not entertainment. It is one mans opinion that has been bought and paid for by the Republican party... plain and simple.

It is wise to know what your enemy is saying and what it is being told.

The only "support" that Bill-O's show is receiving is in the ratings.
