Most Americans are too lazy to learn anything else....unlike people in Europe who speak 3 or 4 languages.

Because I'm not spanish nor mexican, therefore the language in no way relates to me. I will never learn spanish to accomodate criminals. The illegals are on their way out anyway so it's only a matter of time before cheap labor creeping across the border like rats is a thing of the past. Enjoy the time you have left:)

Greek language is a language no longer-up-to-date. And Spanish is language up-to-date (that implies: grammar can difference, by means of the years and a few matters too). Spanish is extra effortless, on the grounds that Greek have symbols/letters veeery one-of-a-kind to English. And it takes a time to study Greek.

Yes I think americans should learn another language like in some parts of Europe, but for cultural reasons....
BUT alll foreigners that come to usa should be able to speak english, with or without accents, but the problem is from the usa people, you go to court and there you have a free translator, now with the fires here in san diego, they are saying that 911 was to be in spanish too, so who fault is this?
driving exams are in spanish too, so why foreigners should learn english?

First off if you are referring to the Southwestern United States it is part of the United States and in the 1700's our government voted to decide weather we should speak German or English in this country! English won therefore all of our laws are written in English and it is taught as the first language in our schools. There are many Americans that speak, read and write more than one language they just chose to speak English when in public. My grandfather spoke, read and wrote in 5 languages but always spoke English in his home so we would learn to speak english....No sovereign country should be forced to print all forms of required paper work in anyother language than the recognized language of the country, and their people should not be forced to learn another language unless they chose too...Maybe if the illegals could read English they would know they are breaking the law to come here.

I live in Texas and I have learned the 3 most important Spanish words:

*Margarita, por favor
*Guacamole, por favor
*Basura

That's all the Spanish I need to know right there.

It's nice to know a little Spanish, but it's stupid not to learn English in this country.

We don't live in Mexico either. You either learn english or leave. And I am talking about Legals, illegals don't belong here regardless.

This question is only here to provoke people.

No, English is spoken by the majority--foreigners need to learn English. Do you think if you went to France they are going to cater to you in Spanish? Wrong!
