Try to sound at least realistic.... Like, if we Nuked them, I dont think anyone would say anything for fear we would treat them the same way

We would be unpopular in the world for 10-20 years but we would be saffer and we would have sent a huge message to the rest of the world, and we would prosper

Conceivably, other countries with nuclear capabilities could get involved, and we'd annihilate all humanity.
Or, other countries could attack our allies (look at how many people on this site hate Israel). We'd be drawn into a worse conflict then, and the environmental damage could be really bad.
We'd have to use "clean nukes," which dissipate their poisons within a few short years, but we'd have to hit everyone who'd hit us back with a tremendous amount of armament.
The economic effects on the US and our allies would be terrible, too.
Awful as they are, neither Iran or North Korea are worth all that. And even if we just toppled their regimes, they could descend into chaos also, causing worse problems.
Morally, it'd be wrong, too. I don't like the thought of America doing such things.

Aside to the global damage caused by the nukes. You would be completing both political and economic suicide on a global scale. The USA would have to become self sufficient as i don't believe anyone would trade invest or support you. And you can bet the UN would demand you disarm. which leaves you sitting with your *** hanging out sporting the worlds biggest bullseye on it. Sure you may get rid of two perceived national security problems. But at the cost of becoming a 3rd world country. I don't think its going to happen and if it did the man who pushed the button best put a bullet in his head or face one hell of a bounty on it.

Are you on Cheney & Bush's committee to scare the Americans into WW-3? "Other than the loss of life..." is a cold and careless statement. The "repercussions" would be the loss of millions of innocent civilians who are at the mercy of people like Bush and Cheney. It would also result in feelings of guilt for millions of Americans who criticize their leadership. I don't know what to believe, since the intelligence from Iraq was so wrong. I think sanctions work and that is the reason Iraq had no WMD's.

The US would --correctly--be declared an outlaw nation until we surrendered the criminals responsible for trial and punishment.

Anyone who had a part in supporting or carrying out such a genocide should receive the death penalty.

nuclear weapons are only to be used and a deterrent, if we were to show that we were willing to use them offensively the rest of the world would begin working together to find a way to dis arm us either through diplomacy or aggression, no one on this world want to live with the threat of a nuclear aggressor,

on the other side France would surrender and kiss our a**

Worldwide hatred, planetary weather shifts.
and that little old "loss of life" thing you mentioned.

Nothing at all wrong with vaporizing a few million people at all.
