Do you remember that episode of "The Simpsons" where Bart takes a new hobby as being a reverend and then at the football game, Homer is drunk and drives his homemade parade float on the field, crushing the kicker's leg, and then when the kicker kicks one last field goal, his lower leg flys off his body all because of Homer driving that float over his knee on the field.

1) For Homer Simpson, what would happen in REAL LIFE?

2) For the kicker, what would happen in REAL LIFE?

I am considering retiring in or outside the U.S.

Looking for a place where my money goes far; a simple life where my contribution to the local economy will have a good impact on the local population

I wouldn't rule out moving to a place that is economically challenged

I am a retired Vietnam Veteran in my mid-fifties

I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian, so the ideal area would be somewhere Orthodox worship is easy to locate

I have a TAX FREE pension of about $3,000.00 a month

COLA increases yearly and "no off-set" Social Security coming in 7 years to increase my income.

Also, the U.S. VA will pay for most health care claims I submit from outside US.

Some ideas: Romania, Bulgaria and Eastern Europe in general.

Also Southeast Asia and Latin America.

Not worried about culture shock.

My avocation is singing and songwriting.

I'm a retired Registered Nurse, not looking to do nursing, but having a lot of knowledge to share as volunteer.

Thank you for serious, informed answers.

I hit a stopped car at a red light going about 15-20. No one was injured and I was driving my girlfriends rental car. the rental airbag came out and was not in great shape and the other car had some bumper damage. How much trouble am I in from anyone who's been remotely in the same place?

If someone reports me to an authority and the authority goes to me with no proof and tells me off, then that authority is guilty of misconduct.

If I approach that authority first and say that someone will be accusing me of something due to a miss-understanding, I have discovered that it generally resolves the behaviour complaint.

But when trying to comfirm something that happened in relation to it, they called me a lair when I got something confused because they witnessed the event. But if I got confused in an ordinary conversation, they probably wouldn't have called me a liar.

Is this accusation of me lying due to an association with the behaviour complaint stopping them from thinking rationally about why I may have got things wrong?

If so, how could it have been prevented?

The so-called no-fly zones were unilaterally imposed by the U.S. and Britain and were never authorized by the UN. They were, in fact, a violation of the ceasefire...but the U.S. was never sanctioned for it.
